Waking up too early!?!?!?
All of a sudden, about three weeks ago, Maddy began waking us up at around 5:00 a.m.....She NEVER used to do that -- generally, she'd wait until about 7:30 a.m. or when we got up before she'd bark or stand up in her kennel to get out.
We walk her for about 15 minutes before putting her in for the night....We put a blanket over her kennel at night so she knows it's bedtime...
Now, she'll bark (we tried ignoring her, we tried pulling the blanket back, we tried shaking a can with pennies) until we let her out of the kennel, she'll hop in bed with us, nip at my hair until I rub her belly, and then fall back to sleep for another two hours.
I really don't know what to do...any advice? This is really cutting into our sleep.

Re: Waking up too early!?!?!?
I would love to know what people say about this because I experience a similar situation. My husband leaves at 5:00 and there are some days my dog Lexi does not budge or make a sound...then there are other days where she will not stop (barking, crying, jumping on bed) until I get out of bed!!!!
