pre-op appt question..for anyone who knows!
i have a pre-op appt tomorrow for surgery next week. i know they said i can't at after midnight and im pretty sure they said coffee, water, or tea is ok though.
does anyone know what the general rule is?

It may depend on the type of surgery. When I have an endoscopy I can't have anything liquid at all, not even water, after midnight. But I think it's just the surgery, not the pre-op, unless the pre-op testing also requires limited intake. I would just give them a call to be certain. If coffee or tea are OK it's usually plain, no milk or cream.

ok thank you!
i called and got no answer. i think to play it safe ill just wake up as late as can to get there on time so i wont have time to worry about a drink
