diaper rash question

almsot 2 yo had a HORRIBLE yeast diaper rash. ped prescribed nystatin/steroid combo, said ot use it 3x a day for a week. anyhwo, tomorrow will be a week, and the rash is MUCH better, but still there. the red is all faded, but she still has dots/pimples scattered around, if that makes sense.
would you keep using cream or call ped back?

My son had the same thing! I got the Nystatin as well, but it didn't do much. I tried SOOOOOOOO many things, acidophilus in the diaper, different creams, blow drying the area 3 times a day!!!! Nothing worked. My friend had the same thing with her son, went to a dermatologist and told her to put cortisone cream on it. I did it, and it went away the next day!!! I hope this helps! Good luck!

we had the same thing, the dots are a yeast infection, and the nystatin didnt help. My ped told me to try Triple paste AF (anti-fungal), its new but I couldnt find it anywhere. I looked it up and the active ingredient was whats in monistat 7. So I bought a $3 target brand tube, mixed it with balmex and in a couple of days the rash was gone.
