Question about Blackberry Curve
I have a curve, actually just got it, as a replacement for my old one, so its only a couple weeks old. I want to get the new Tour,
So the question is, can i give someone on my share plan my curve, even if they don't have internet? will the phone still work?

That should be fine. At my job we use Verizon and some people use their bb's JUST for data and some just for phone. If they don't have a data plan, they can just use the phone features and non internet features.

I'm pretty sure they can use it for the just the phone if it's Verizon. Unless you renew your plan, they would need to keep the same plan you already had.
I think with AT&T you have hte option of even shutting off just the data portion and then turning it back on (through AT&t not on your own)
Hope that made sense...i wrote it and i feel like i confused what i meant.

When I got my curve I wanted to only use it as a phone (FH has me on his family share) and they said I couldn't do that. That I needed to have a data plan.

what carrier do you have?
I have Verizon and they told me the same thing. A blackberry (thru verizon at least) needs to carry a data plan.

I believe a bb through verizon can't be used that way, it must have a data plan.
With At&t you can just use the phone feature, DH has been doing that for months.

I'm pretty sure that you can use it as just the phone. My SIL does this. Not sure what carrier she has though
