I thought it was entertaining. I don't think it would ever happen in a Jewish temple. HOWEVER, in Orthodox ceremonies, the dancing happens BEFORE the ceremony as the groom lowers the veil on the bride. They would not use club music though. Also, a bride circles a groom (as I did), but there was no music.

My eyes welled up looking at how happy everyone was. Everyone in their church seemed to be in to it too - laughing/clapping being happy.
As far as being disrepectful, I doubt they would have attempted to do this, had they not asked for their church's permission. From what I saw, there was a woman presiding over the ceremony, so that tells me they are a more liberal congregation.
If the church says ok - then why not?
I think it's awesome that their entire bridal party was in to it too!!!
I was going to write the same exact thing but since you already said it....DITTO!

Ive been dying to watch this since you guys started talking about it but YouTube is blocked at work.... I turned it on just now, and at first felt like you did... I actually said out loud "I thought it would be more clever than this" but then it got MUCH better and cuter and just LOVELY as it progressed. Bravo!

I absolutely LOVED it. Who says that everyone has to follow the traditional rules for a wedding? It's a marriage of souls, it SHOULD represent and reflect the unique personalities of the couple to be. They, and their friends, looks so HAPPY and so free - that's what a wedding should be, not all pomp, circumstance and stress!
This is a kind of girl I want to be friends with!

I would have loved to have been at that wedding! I bet the people that were there were thinking "THIS IS SOOOO Jill and Kevin!" and I bet that years from now they will talk about it with big smiles and warm thoughts.
Imagine how much fun their reception must have been if they got the crowd this involved with the ceremony??

I agree! I felt so happy and excited for the bride and groom! I loved it and that was something I could see my bridal party doing. As it was they completely hammed up their entrance to the reception, which is still one of the things people at my wedding still talk about, 8 years later.

OMG LOVED LOVED LOVED IT ! 
I agree about SO much love in that room, a happy couple sharing in the most special day of their lives, with friends and family that love them dearly, so dearly that they would do something like that for them....
and everyone has to lighten up, Im sure God was smiling down on them and blessed their marriage immensely, and not any less than the marriage of a couple that chose the routine "dum dum da dum"
i dont see any disrespect to the church at all.

I did laugh out loud to this video my favorite part was when it started going in slow motion!
Also I think I remember hearing that if a youtube video is very popular you can get paid by advertisers who are linked to the page. Like it or not- these people are probably laughing all the way to the bank ....

It would have been great to announce the bridal party this way at the reception and then the bride and groom dance their way into the reception hall, but i think it's not such a bright idea to do at your wedding in a church.. maybe im old fashioned.. I can't believe any church would allow that?!?!?

totally agree! and i never really cry over stuff like this, but did tear up when they showed the bride!
me too...I thought I was the only one. I cried because I felt that she was so loved.
people need to lighten up..it's not a funeral.
Ditto that! I loved it, and good for them! Their reception must have been a blast!
The pastor was dancing right along with the rest of them up on the podium.

They had their fun, and will have great memories of their wedding, However, It's a bit ridiculous that they're on the morning news shows now.
For a lame dance down the aisle, they get national exposure?
Personally, i didn't like it, but it had nothing to do with it being in a church, i don't like choreographed dances like that anyway.

I don't care what others do....but I thought it was the dumbest thing I've ever seen and would NEVER have done that in church. I'm with Melissa who said brides try to hard to be different these days....this one went to far. I think it's tacky! but again, that's just me!
I thought the bride would at least come down normal.....
