appropriate gift for a 1 yo?
i need an appropriate gift for a 1 year old girl. money is tight but its a family member. thanks.

you cant go wrong with clothes and a book... ds is 11 months and he loves the basic things... board books, blocks....

there are so many light up toys and music things you could get at toys r us...and clothes are great too!!!

I think getting books is a great idea! There is a great bookstore called Best Bargain Books (locations in Port Jeff, Centereach and East Patchogue) I just bought DD seven books for $28! The website is BestBargainBook.com. I've never checked it out though.

I think clothes are great and you can get one of those big wooden puzzles appropriate for ages 1-2.
