Nails...

Hi everyone, I am not new to this site but I hardly ever post, just love reading the advice from everyone. I am a mom of 8 month old twins, so there is an endless need for advice!

I have a quick question for everyone, I am a Nail Tech and was thinking of starting my own mobile business, basically you call for an appt and I come to you. I thought this may be a great idea for stay at home moms or anyone who may not have the opportunity to leave the house to get to a salon very often. What are your thoughts on this? Would you use a service like this..honestly? Would love to hear your feedback.

Thanks!!

Did I ever tell you that I hate people?

Re: Nails...

I actually did this many many years ago...

People loved the convenience of it

But, I started to get nervous about going to strangers houses so I stopped...

Re: Nails...

I would LOVE it! What about maybe working up at a hospital too. I remember getting ready to go home with my newborn and everyone standing there taking pics. My nails looked horrible in the pics. I always thought that it would be great to have had a manicure at the hospital to look good for pic nad to papmer myself one last time before I offically lost all sleep for the next few months!

Re: Nails...

Good concept - I would try something like this depending on the price and recommendations from friends.

Re: Nails...

You should also consider going to nursing homes. My grandma lives in FL and a nail and hair person used to come once every two or so weeks and all of the women would get their hair and nails done -- just because they can't get to a salon anymore doesn't mean they still don't like to be pampered!

Re: Nails...

i would absolutely love a service like this!

it would all depend on the cost however. obviously you would charge more than if you were working out of a salon, but too much of a price difference (especially in this economy Chat Icon) might turn people off.

good luck and let us know when your business is up and running!

Re: Nails...

I think it is a great idea and I would love to have someone come to my home since I never have a chance to get myself to a nail salon.

I say try it out.
