Let's chat!

1 - How are you dealing with clothes? I feel like none of my tops fit me anymore!! Everything is TOO SHORT and my big belly sticks out of the bottom. I have like 3 shirts that fit that I keep rotating, otherwise I'm wearing one of my 2 long tank tops underneath everything else and I look ridiculous!

2 - I finally packed my hospital bag (and made my list of "last-minute items" to pack). I still need to get some big comfy socks and some crappy flip flops to add to there! What's next on your to do list?

3 - How's everyone's weight gain so far? I'm up a whopping 43.5 lbs! This is going to be fun to lose after!

4 - Anyone else have random fears about where/when they'll go into labor? I keep wondering what will happen if my water breaks while I'm in the shower! Or if it breaks at work! And every time my DH is out of the house for a few hours, I start to wonder if I'll just happen to go into labor right at that moment!

5 - When's everyone's last day of work? Let's see what your countdown of work-days is! Not including today, I have 10 more working days! My last day is 12/18 (which is our last working day before the Christmas break!)

6 - How's everyone progressing? Like I said in my other post, I'm 1-2 cm dilated and 25% effaced. I'm hoping next week I'll have much more progress! I really would love to give birth any time now! Part of me wants to wait until 12/15 because that's our 9 year dating anniversary... and part of me wants to wait until after 12/18 so I'll be done with work... but part of me wants this little guy out RIGHT NOW!

So funny you mention your shirts are all short it feels like i am walking around with belly shirts all day


I was supposed to have an appt yesterday for an internal but it got cancelled so i have an appt on Monday but last time i went dr said he thinks i am going to go early (i am due the 15th)

My last day of work is today and I cant be more excited


I cant believe it is December it went so fast it really did


I am excited for all of us that are so close

and of course for all the girls on this board

1 - How are you dealing with clothes?

My tops are getting tight but, they are still long enough. I refuse to buy anything new for the next couple of weeks.

2 - What's next on your to do list?

We are in the process of setting up the nursery and the bassinet. DH decided that he wanted new lighting in our bedroom and in the nursery and it's taking longer than anticipated so it's frustrating. I have the nursery furniture at least so I am going to start putting stuff away this weekend.

3 - How's everyone's weight gain so far?

I'm up about 48 lbs and am not happy about it.

4 - Anyone else have random fears about where/when they'll go into labor?

I try not to think about it!

5 - When's everyone's last day of work?

I'm not sure - I am thinking my last day in the office will be next Fri and then I will work from home until the baby comes. I have a big project that has been delayed so I would like to get that done.


6 - How's everyone progressing?

I am 1cm dilated, 0% effaced but my cervix is soft and the baby's head is down. The Dr. on Weds told me that I had a good pelvis for giving birth. I go back next Thurs for my 39 week appt and am hoping for more progress (or to not even make it to that point).

Hi. I am going bezerk. When is this going to happen?!!!!?!!?!?!? It could be tonight or in 4 weeks.

1. Yes, I have like 2 shirts long enough to wear and one big sweathshirt and I wear big ol stretched out yoga pants.

2. I want to get cute cozy pajamas, i did buy a pair but they were way too small so i'm not sure what to get. Other than that I'm bringing items listed in #1.

3. 28 lbs. which I know isn't bad but I feel huge and ugly and puffy.

4. YES. What if labor just starts and takes off? I can't take not knowing when. Now I'll worry about that in with the shower but as long as the baby is still moving right? I wish I was still working because I'm going crazy.

5. I stopped working 2 weeks ago and like i said I wish I was still working. It's not like I am getting anything done.

6. 38w1d. 1.5 cm/25% effaced head -2 station and cervix still posterior. Still have mucus plug to my knowledge but spotting since exam yesterday.

1. Today I am wearing a sweatsuit and I need to pick the pants up every 5 seconds bc my belly is popping out!

2. Next on our to do list is get the nursery done...we have encountered problem after problem and it has taken waaaaaay longer than we expected.

3. At my last appointment I was up 17lbs which Im really happy about. I go again tomorrow, I was hoping to keep it under 25

4. I have a HUGE fear that I will go into labor while teaching (im worried my water will break in front of the kids )

5. My last day of work is 12/23 (our last day before the holidays), which is technically my due date but my original doctor said 12/24 so they kept it 12/24

6. At my last internal there was no progress but I have been feeling a lot going on so hopefully at the next internal tomorrow there will be some progression

1 - How are you dealing with clothes?

I am just trying to get by. My shirts are all terrible. Only have a few pairs of pants to wear. I refuse to buy anything else, so I am just dealing with it. Luckily, I have been able to work mostly from home these last couple of months, so I have been really digging my sweat pants!

2 - My "to do" list is pretty much done. Packed a bag (kind of, I know I will be throwing in last minute stuff). Not sure what else to do at this point except wait!

3 - How's everyone's weight gain so far?

I'm right there with you. Gained about 42 pounds. But this is the same amount I gained with DS and I lost it all so I am not overly concerned!

4 - My biggest fear about my water breaking is that it is going to happen in my bedroom or somewhere upstairs. A couple of months ago we got carpet installed in both bedrooms and the hallway. I DO NOT want to break my water all over the new carpet!!!!

5 - I am due next Wednesday, so we are under a week away now. My last day of work will be the day I go into labor, unless it is a weekend!

6 - How's everyone progressing?

At my 39 week appointment on Wednesday I have NOTHING going on! Same as with my DS. So, the wait continues. I go back to the doctor next Thursday, 1 day after my due date and see where we are then!

Clothing is getting interesting! I find that some of the shirts I have been wearing that fit the best are non-maternity...long tunics, etc...maternity tops are too short, and the pants are too tight!!!!

I have gained a total of 28 lbs, and am happy with that, even though they still told me to watch my last two weeks... I was like, thanks!

I was not dilated at all, when I went at 37 wks, but cervix was soft...baby's head was down, but still high. We'll see what this internal reveals on Monday! I am being patient about it. I don't want to go into jan, but I am okay if I go to my due date.

Hospital bag was fun to pack, and I think it looks like I am staying for a month..lol..

I was having contractions with slight pain, and getting scared ...so yes, I definately feel nervous about it happening at work. I have not designated a last day at work, I really don't want to waste any of my time...so, I am here until baby comes...

I really can't wait to hear when all of our babies arrive!!!!

1 - How are you dealing with clothes?
I've just been wearing a long tank top under EVERYTHING. I look ridiculous.

2 - My to-do list: For the nursery, buy a ceiling fan/light fixture, and have DH convince his father to install it for us. Paint and hang shelves, buy an area rug. Do lots of laundry! Oh and check out the other 2 hospitals that I might have to go to, if my crappy OB tells me I can't go to the one I want when the time comes.

3 - How's everyone's weight gain so far? I'm up 28 pounds, too. I'm ok with the poundage but disappointed in myself for eating so much candy (thanks, Halloween) and not exercising. Next pregnancy I'm going to try to be better.

4 - Anyone else have random fears about where/when they'll go into labor? My fear is not knowing whether or not I'm in labor, and going to the hospital just to be sent home - or worse, being kept there for a long time and ending up getting induced. I would love for there to be a dramatic breaking of water and mad rush to the hospital instead!

5 - When's everyone's last day of work? When the baby says so. :(

6 - How's everyone progressing? Not at all. Had my first internal this morning and my cervix is still "nice and long." Awesome.

i've been wearing a long tank under all my clothes too. i like that it makes me feel tucked in and it also hides my belly when my shirts lift up. i've been wearing DH's tee shirts to bed and now my belly is starting to pop out of those too..

2 - next on the to do list
i've got pretty much everything done. just some house organizing projects and i need to put shelves up in the baby's room.

i'm up 32lbs but that is also thanks to GD. i lost 5lbs when i started the diet and have only gained baby weight since i started the diet 6 weeks ago.

4 - Anyone else have random fears about where/when they'll go into labor?
i'm starting to get very nervous that my water will break when i'm out in public and by myself. i found out today i have strep b so now i am even more nervous since i have to get to the hospital asap if it breaks...

i finished two weeks ago but wish i was still working bcz i am antsy.

went to the doc today - officially full term at 37 wks. i'm 2cm dialated, 50% effaced and station1. if i don't go by 12/18 (39 wks), i will be induced but doc thinks i will go on my own. i am really happy bcz i am due xmas day and i really want to be home with the baby on xmas

my doc said to call when contractions are 5 min apart or if my water breaks - whatever happens first. BUT if my water breaks in the middle of the night that i should go right to the hospital to get checked. ideally they want u to be on antibiotics for about 4 hrs before you give birth. she said since i'm a FTM, there should be plenty of time so not to get too worried about it.

I deal with the draft. I'm short so no one can see that my belly is showing!!! I'm not buying new stuff. Pretty much been wearing leggings and tunics though. Oh and Flip Flops because I no longer have feet, I have planks.

2 - My to-do list: Other than finish the thank you cards from my shower, I'm really working hard to Stay busy. I don't have anything really left to do.

3 - How's everyone's weight gain so far? 35 lbs. I don't care.

4 - Anyone else have random fears about where/when they'll go into labor? My fear is that I WON'T go into labor. I don't want to get to 42 weeks, and I'm struggling because I know I have no control. I don't mind when or where...I'm just soooo ready for it to happen.

5 - When's everyone's last day of work? I had my last day on November 25th. I'm due 12/9. I should have stayed at work though because it's hard to refrain from obsessing about "WHEN" it's going to happen. But, I had so much vacation time that if I didn't use it, I would lose it.

6 - How's everyone progressing? I don't get checked because I go to a midwife. However, I was in the hospital on November 10th and when I was discharged I was 75% effaced and 2 fingertips dilated. I've been having really intense BH contractions sometimes combined with really good menstrual-like cramping. I hope that all those sensations are doing something productive.

Can't wait to hear all of our birth stories and see pics of all our babies!!!! Soon enough ladies...soon enough!

1. My clothes still fit me fine. My scrub tops for work though are definitely getting smaller.

2. My hospital bag is packed and we just installed the car seat. We still have to out together our swing and wash some more clothes.

3. I have gained just under 30 pounds so far.

4. Im a little nevous about going into labor if im at work. I work in teh city and would probably have to take a cab home. My DH is more nervous about it than I am though.

5. I am working 2 days next week, possibly 3, depending on how I feel. Dont know if I can do 3 12 hour shifts in my feet at 38 weeks.

6.I was checked last week at 36 weeks, no dilation but cervix was sodft. My doctors dont do any more internals unless you request them. I doubt I will request any since I will be poked and prodded enough there when I do go into labor.

I am ready to have this baby now but I have a final for grad school on 12/21 which is my due date so if can wait until right after my exam or the next day to come, that would be great. I doubt it will happen like that though.

I'm home now, Monday was my last day, so I'm making due.

2. started packing hospital bag. We are still getting settled into our new condo. DH and I are both sooo not handy. Some of you may have read my posts about staining furniture - well we finally have our bedroom set up. We are still waiting for our couch to be delivered, and someone to come install built-ins in our living room (desk and bookshelves). We have the crib and dresser in the nursery, and have the glider/ottomon, and bookcase in the boxes. We have a handiman coming on Monday to help put things together, install shelves, etc. DH feels so bad that I hired someone, but its really just too much for him to do on his own. He's a city boy and never put anything together in his life!

3. I've gained 54 lbs Not too happy, but nothing to do about it now. My dr. thinks a lot of it is water retention, and that i'll lose 30 lbs as soon as I deliver. Lets pray he's right! I'm supposed to be on a low sodium diet now, but I'm not being as good as I should be. NO great shocker there!

4. Now that I'm not working, I'm not worried about where I'll go into labor, I'm just praying I wait a week and have our couch delivered first!

5. Last day of work was Monday.

6. At my dr's appt on Tuesday, head was in -2 station, and my cervix was fully closed and not effaced. i'm happy with that - I really am in no rush!

1.) My clothes are fine. Well, I put a pair of pants on that i havent worn since mid-pregnancy and they were tight on my thighs. Oh geez!!

2.) My bags are packed and I'm ready to go!!! Just have to figure out what I'm going to wear home...

3.) Um...45lbs. I'm so ashamed and am dreading losing it!!

4.) I'm always afraid I'll be out walking around town and my water breaks! I just want to be home if it does happen.

5.) Last day of work was today! WOOHOO! Due date tomorrow, nothing like working till the last minute!

6.) Well, the docs here don't really give the same stats as they do in the States, so all I can tell you is that i'm not dialated yet, but my cervix is ripe and softening....does that make sense?

So excited - there's only 6 hours left on my countdown!!!! Now lets see if I even remotely go on time!

Shirts are definitely getting shorter on me so im also wearing tank tops under everything and pants are getting uncomfortable but I refuse to buy anything

YES!!! Im so worried that my water will break in the middle of teaching bc knowing my class all the kids will go wild, stressing me out even more while I find someone to cover me haha..anywhere else I don't really care, I just don't want it to happen at work lol
