December & January mommies are you decorating for the holidays?

I was just thinking I'm due about 2 weeks after Christmas and I really dont want to take down an entire 7' tree and decorations. Did anybody else think about this? Especially since I want everything set up in the living room for the baby I might just try to talk DH into getting a 3' table top tree. If its that or him taking down the big tree I bet he wont mind!

I'm due on January 14th so I'm hoping to have all of my decorations down before then! DH will have to do most of the work

I definitely am decorating, but it is just going to be my DH and myself for the holidays since we have no family in Nashville, so I feel like we have to decorate.

No, not this year. I really can't imagine that I'll have the energy to take out & then put away all of those ornaments.

I'll put a wreath on the door just to get into the spirit but no tree this year.

I'm due December 9th....i HAVE to decorate....its my favorite holiday. Hopefully my LO will be on time and would love to have the house decorated for our first Christmas as a family. I may not go ALLLL out.....but we will do the tree and ornaments. DH has been amazing so hopefully I'll just have to sit my large preggo a$$ on the couch and tell him what to do.

Im due 12/24 and we will absolutely be decorating...its my favorite time of year and I think if i didnt decorate it would make me depressed

Im due 12/21 and wont be decorating this year. I feel that it will be too much work with a newborn.

It's a lot of work, but I love this time of year and I just don't think I could go without so we will be decorating this year. DH will just have to take care of taking things down after and if we need the help, I know his parents will pitch in too (they're local; my family is not).

I'm due in Jan. Since I have a toddler I will definitely decorate for Christmas - maybe not AS much as usual but will def. get a full tree and put most of the decorations up etc. I don't want to deprive him of the fun stuff of the holidays. But, I did tell DH we are putting them up earlier and taking them down earlier this year! Like - right after Christmas

If I didn't already have a child, not sure - I would definitely skimp.

Since this is our first year in our new home and we're expecting we will be going light on the decorations more for financial reasons since we have to start from scratch again.

I am just putting up the tree and the outside lights - none of the other stuff I usually do. I am due 12/9 and planning to do it probably the weekend before Thanksgiving and just not turn it on until the weekend after. The babies will be here and I can't imagine not having pictures in front of the tree on their first Christmas .

I am having a c-section on 12/18 and I will still decorate. I can't imagine christmastime without my tree. DH will have to take everything down, but he doesn't care. I probably won't go as crazy as i normally do, since we'll have to fit a swing and a pack n play in the living room too!

I'm due Jan 1st and I'm decorating. Right now we only have a 4' tree but this is our first Christmas in our new house and really want to do it up as much as I can.

we are scaling back, but more because ds is on the verge of walking and we also have less room mnow... prob the tree and a few other decoratios....

DH is going to hang the outside lights and we're going to decorate a tree.

I feel since I'm probably spending all of Christmas and Christmas Eve in our house for the first time ever (instead of going someplace else) I at least need a tree!

Joe and I had a m/c last year the week before Thanksgiving so my holiday season was shot and while I did celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas I skipped traditions. I learned that even if it seems unbarable at the time you should still do it because in a few months you'll be bummed. I feel so cheated that I didn't celebrate Christmas like usual. I didn't bake, watch my movies, decorate like normal and so on. NOTHING will stop me from celebrating like normal. I don't care if my water breaks while i'm decorating or baking....I'll have time right?


Oh and i'm not due until 01/20/10 so it's not a big issue for me, right now

I never go crazy with decorations, but yes, I will decorate. I don't really do much more than a tree, though.

I am due December 4th and will be decorating the day after Thanksgiving! I love this time of the year and like others have said - love the fact that my LO will be here during this season. And since I will be home for most of December I am actually excited I get to enjoy it more!

I'm due on 1/3 and I'm definitely decorating.

First off I love Christmas.

Second, I've had a feeling for months this munchkin is coming early so if he does I want to have all the Christmas decor up to take pictures.

Third, my brother is coming down from upstate and its the first Christmas without our mother so I want to try and have everything as "normal" as I possibly can for him.

Im OCD about decorations (and well, everything else... lmao) but I'm going to try and let go and have DH do most of the work.

I am soooooooo decorating in fact I am putting up my decorations next weekend..I am due December 15th..I cant imagine a xmas with out my tree and decorations up...but i am like a xmas elf i look forward to this time of year all year round i am like a 5 year old

I am definately decorating! I am due on 12/21, and I can't wait to bring baby home in a "Christmas" atmosphere....fire, decorations....I CAN"T wait!!!!!!
