what to get a student teacher????
MY student teacher's last day is tomorrow. I had the students each make a book page to create a nice class book. THey each thanked her for something that they learned. I am contemplating also getting her a Border's gift card. She definitely wasn't a great student teacher, so I am not sure if the book is enough, or if I should get the gift card as well. What do you think??? I know when I was student teaching, one cooperating teacher got me a gift card and a Dr. Seuss book, and the other got me a bunch of teacher "stuff". Is a gift necessary?

I would get her something. It is tough to be a student teacher. You could get her the book "Fires in the bathroom" It is a great read for teachers.
