ovarian cyst rant
hi all...as some of you might already know, i had two ovarian cysts diagnosed last may...between then and now i took depolupron shots until one was gone and the other was almost gone, but unfortunately had financial problems and did not go for more shots...this week i finished my period and was still having bad cramping, but not in my usual places...as the week went on, the pain got worse...because i cancelled three appointments at my doctor previously because of my finances, my doctor will not see me anymore and referred me to another doctor who cannot see me until the end of february and i was really upset...luckily, i had one refill left on my shot and since i KNOW whats going on inside based on experience (this is now my third bout with these damn cysts), i picked up the shot and my husband gave it to me, which was totally fine to me (and the pharmacist who thought i was nuts to go up to the hospital to have it done)...but my question is, is it normal for the cysts to come back so soon? it really has me depressed because i really dont want to be on these shots forever..we would like to have at least one child naturally and i feel like im getting old (33)...if surgery has to be done, there is a good chance that i will lose at least one of my ovaries, if not both...i pretty much checked out mentally this week, which is really bothering my husband, but he just doesnt get the pain level or the emotions that come with it all....i really just needed to vent to someone who would understand, and you all were so helpful when all of this started, so thanks for reading

Re: ovarian cyst rant
I am so sorry you are going through this. I have stage IV endometriosis, so I get chocolate cysts, and mine tend to come back quickly also. I had my first one removed because it was the size of a grapefruit, but after that I went birth control and that controlled them. But since I have done my IVFs the cyst have come back. During my last egg retrieval they actually had to removed some fluid from the one I have right now just to get to my ovary, and within a month I could tell it grew back to the original size.
I hope when you go to see your new doctor, you are able to get some answers and options. Good luck!!!!
