Worry Wart
I just got my BFP on Wednesday. I tested early, techically AF wasn't due till this weekend.
I can't help but worry that something is going to go wrong. I think we had a CP in December so I don't think that is helping.
Our first Dr's appt is in 3.5 weeks, I feel like it is forever away!
Am I crazy for feeling this way? I keep trying to think positive, I'm just so afraid

Re: Worry Wart
You are definately not alone. I am 8 weeks 2 days pregnant and because of infertility issues I have had to the Dr. every two weeks since my BFP. HOwever, I will tell you that during each of those two week wait periods I was a nervous nelly. I cant stop reading and blogging about any symptoms or lack there of.
In fact, I just had a sono this past wed due to some spotting and I got to see a healthy baby with a little heart beating away.....BUT its only 3 days later and I am once again a nervous wreck!!!
What you are feeling is completely normal. I think its our motherly instincts kicking in. If you are that concerened call your Dr. and ask to come in at around 6.5 weeks....they can usually see a small heartbeat by then and maybe that will put your mind at ease.

Re: Worry Wart
It's hard in-between appointments... and, honestly, it only gets worse.

Re: Worry Wart
You are definitely not alone. I got a BFP in September, only to start bleeding that weekend. I was devastated. You get so excited and then it's gone.
This time around I am nervous because I have that experience in the back of my mind. I actually started to spot around 9 weeks with this pregnancy and completely lost it. Thank goodness the baby was okay, but it was enough to make me hysterical.
I still worry every day and I think it's completely normal. Try to enjoy this as much as you can though. If you need to talk, feel free to FM.

Re: Worry Wart
I am right there with you!!! Got my official BFP at the RE on 2/5... worried all weekend until the second beta... then I had to wait 2 weeks for a sono. That's what I am up to now! My sono is on Monday and now that it is so close, I am dreading it with the fear of getting bad news and it all being over. I have told myself that if everything is okay, I have to stop obsessing and start enjoying this time. I just have to convince myself. What will be will be no matter how much I worry and obsess - I try to keep that in mind. I have been having so much cramping/burning the past few days which adds to my insanity. If you really are worried then you shoud call your dr. and see if you can get in just a little early. You want to wait though for a time they will actually be able to see something or you will just have to go back and be in the same boat you are in now! Anyway feel free to FM me anytime!! I am a worry wart too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Worry Wart
You are not crazy! I am 12 weeks and I still am freaking about every little twinge and feeling. It's hard to relax until you hear the heartbeat and are assured that everything is ok. Try to stay calm as much as possible. Your appt will be here before you know it

Re: Worry Wart
I never had a cp or a mc and I was still crazy worried at the beginning. I would have horrible horrible graphic nightmares of mcs- I mean REALLY upsetting stuff. It's normal. You know how fragile things are at the beginning and you're scared. Only time will make it pass and even then you will always be a little nervous. For me I felt pretty solid during my 2nd tri and now at the end I'm very nervous agin- I keep thinking like TAKE HIM OUT NOW before something bad happens!! But eh, it's all part of being a parent I guess.

Re: Worry Wart
Not alone at all, from the time I got my BFP to the time I went to the doctor, it was the longest 3 weeks of my life.
Totally normal and try and relax and enjoy this time, I am sure everything will be great

Re: Worry Wart
I am 19 weeks today and still worry.
DH keeps telling me that from the minute I got my BFP until the day I die I will worry about this kid. He tells me that's why I will be a good mom.
