Most websites that carry these items will have the weights listed. Have you checked?

yeah BBB says what weight baby it holds but doesn't say how much the car seat itself weighs. like in the store they told me the graco snugride weighs 7 pounds and the snugride 35 weighs 11 lbs i think. but i dont know what the peg perego weighs

Re: graco vs peg perego
Check the BRU site - they have product weights. or the Peg Perego site. I want to say the Snugrde is around 15 lbs, but am not sure.

Re: graco vs peg perego
The peg is soooo much heavier than the graco....and I feel like it gives the baby less room than the graco...for my next baby, I am retiring the peg, and buying a graco.....the peg gave me soo much aggrivation

Re: graco vs peg perego
I have the peg perego b/c I had to get it to go with the double stroller. The car seat is VERY heavy. It feels like there's a baby in there even when it is empty. I liked the padding on the inside, and it holds a child up to 30 inches and 30 pounds, but really, my daughter just hit 20 lbs at 9 months and I could hardly lift it. It doesn't make sense to have a portable car seat that is so heavy you can't lift it. If it didn't fit so well with the stroller, I wouldn't have gotten it. Incidentally, the graco snugride fits in the peg perego double stroller. that's what my brother has. I had an evenflo carset, which didn't fit into the peg perego stroller, so that's why I got a new one.

Re: graco vs peg perego
I HATE my peg perego carseat and out of all the stuff that I had for my DD that is my biggest regret. It is so heavy and narrow- its impractical. Also most women would not want to carry a 30 pound infant in an infant car seat anyway. My DD is 19 months and weighs 25 pounds and I retired that seat at around 5 months- so the fact that it went to 30pounds was useless to me.

Re: graco vs peg perego
From a been there done that mom GO GRACO!!! I had the Snugride and loved it until I broken the clip and borrowed my friends Peg Perego to get me through the remaining 4 months my was in a carrier. I hated the PP with a passion. It was VERY heavy, narrow and the handle was not ergonomic--no comparison to Snugride
ETA: This is coming from a Peg Perego fan. I have a Prima Pappa highchair and a Pliko Lite stroller both which I LOVE. But they need to revamp the design of their carrier badly!

Re: graco vs peg perego
I have the peg - as all the others have stated it is so much heavier. i was lucky to always have a very light baby or I would have broken my back carrying that thing around. I have heard that the safety ratings are a little better for the peg though. I will use mine again for the second because i have the matching stroller and i like the way it looks and i refuse to buy anything new, but if it were my second time around i would probably look more at the Graco or Chicco. I am not a huge fan of the Gracco strollers - they are very big and bulky. i don't even think it would have fit in my trunk.

Re: graco vs peg perego
I just can't get over how more soft and squishy the Peg was to the Graco. I picked them up, poked them, proded all the corners and actually thought the Graco was going to hurt baby. I have to add I have -10 experience with babies. I guess I'm one of those who has to live and learn.
Come to think, I don't envision driving much a lone with the baby, so weight sort of not a big issue.
