I always feel like NY & Co is a great place to shop.
They have an assortment of clothing from bus to casual everyday wear. Their jeans are coming a long way and not the high waisted momma looking ones. Very hip looking and lots of cute cotton tops to go with them.
for shoes, I find you still need comfort so Im all about cute ones like Converse sneaks, they go well with all or even sporting a pair of Uggs.
Also tunics with leggings

im plus sized & always had trouble finding suitable casualish clothes for work until i discovered kohls. i just bought a lot of simple cotton tees that are nice & neat & most importantly, comfy. the store is better than shopping online, IMO. plus they have awesome sales all the time. i think its worth checking out. i dont even really mind shopping anymore!

Re: every day casual attire appropriate for a
When I lost my weight after the twins, I vowed that I would not be in sweatpants everyday and I've pretty much stuck with that mantra.
I wear jeans almost everyday with tall boots or flats. For shirts I like ann taylor loft a lot. I've gotten some cute cheap stuff at forever 21 (tshirts and sweaters). Last time I was at the outlets I got a bunch of great shirts at BCBG final cut that are a little nicer then everyday where but I like having them as an option just in case I'm going somewhere nice.
Once you have the base of pants and shoes, you can where a plain white tshirt and look great. Try to use accessories too ( I never seem to make it that far).
