Queens girls -- recs for Waldbaum's with a great bakery?

Any recs for a Waldbaum's with a really good bakery? I'm ordering a birthday cake for my son's party.

(We ordered for Stop and Shop last year -- the one on Union Tkpe in Forest Hills/Glendale and I was sooo disappointed. It wasn't very good at all.)

do you or anyone you know belong to a BJs or Costco...bec they are the best cakes and are super cheap...I usually HATE bakery cakes but these taste homemade!

Whitestone location is good and their whitechocolate/raspberry cake filling is sooo good!

Whitestone -- the one on 10th Avenue?

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone local with a Costco/BJ's membership Chat Icon I have had their sheet cakes and they are awesome (and affordable).

It's not necessarily cheap but I LOVE Martha's Bakery on Austin Street in forest hills.

I order all my cakes from there.

I know there is a Waldbaum's in Howard Beach but I don't know how the bakery is. I know you don't have a membership but BJ's on Metropolitan Ave. in Middle Village makes great sheet cakes for kids bday parties. I think you can get a day pass if you go on their website. Also, Bauer's on Dry Harbor Road in Middle Village is a great bakery for cakes but they are expensive.
