Re: Double Stroller thread
We are getting the Baby Jogger City Select. We checked it out and just love it. It can be configured into 16 different positions. I can attach the car seat on top for #2 and keep Aidan in the bottom front facing. For us, the best part is that once Aidan stops using a stroller, I can continue to use it as a single for #2. I saw a woman with it yesterday and was dying to ask her about it but she never got off the phone for me to ask her. It folds so easily and is pretty compact for a double. I spent a lot of time with it at BBB the other day and was totally comfortable using it.I love the way it rides- totally smooth.
We're waiting for Chicco to come out with their double stroller before we purchase anything but right now the City Select is our top choice.

Re: Double Stroller thread
I literally just finished ordering my stroller. I got the Peg Perego Aria Twin. I had a single Aria with my first baby and I loved how lightweight it was. I was skeptical about getting a side by side but I tested it out in the stores and it was fine. The tandem strollers were so heavy (the graco was 38lbs BEFORE adding the kids), I didnt really like the sit n stand deluxe nor do I like jogging strollers and the strollers that look like one kid is in the storage basket.
The Peg Perego Aria Twin 60/40 Stroller is Peg Peregos innovative side by side travel system, offering a unique split seat configuration allowing for the use of the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio car seat, and a toddler to ride in comfort. This lightweight stroller folds easily and compactly, and although it now accommodates a car seat and is designed for two children, it still fits through a standard doorway. Each rider retains his or her individuality with dual freedom of movement harnesses for the security and freedom of each child, as well as dual snack and play trays with cup holders. There are also individual, adjustable and ratcheting hoods. Parents will have room for everything with the large, open and spacious basket. The Aria Twin pushes easily with its all-wheel suspension and swivel front wheels. Its the perfect stroller for parents with children of different ages.

The newborn goes on the bottom part, right?
Can you put them in right from the beginning or is there a car seat attachment?

Re: Double Stroller thread
I am having a hard time finding something I like.....
I need to go to BRU and actually look at them, but I like Ciy Select, but don't know if it want to shell out $600 again for a stroller (not that I paid for the first one!)
My son will be 3 a few months after this baby is born, so besides walks and outdoor outings, I'm not exactly sure how much use I will get out of it.
I feel like I definitely want a front/back one though, so if I DO go into a store I can actually maneuver and not feel like I'm pushing a mack truck! It seems the side by sides are more popular, but only really useful for outdoors.
Am I silly for feeling like that?????

Same here. I received mine early last week. I got it online with no tax, no shipping and 5% off which was nice. Love the stroller and am already using it in the single configuration. The only thing I am kinda about is the bassinet portion that I bought, but planned on using the carseat for the most part anyway unless I was just taking the baby out.

There is another attachment you can buy to put a newborn in right from the begining and I think still use it as a double (the cocoon) and there's also a bassinet available but I don't think that one works with the double kit. There is no car seat attachment.

This is my top choice as well. I am waiting to see Chicco's new double stroller when it comes out next month because we have the Chicco travel system now and I like it, but I think I'm leaning more towards a side by side.

Re: Double Stroller thread
If we get one, it will probably be the chicco one when it comes out.
I've seen prices of $299.99, which isn't half bad.

Re: Double Stroller thread
Anyone check out the Contours options Tandem Stroller???? Looks really cute! Oh wait, is this the one you have to take both seats off to fold up?????? OK, I just checked it out and it seems you have to take out the car seat adapter to fold it, but that's it.....

Definitely go put your son in the City Select. Nate's 2.5 and already seemed too big for the seat and when we put the sunshade up, you could pretty much see his head poking out the top. He's 65% for height so he's not abnormally tall either. He didnt like it immediately.

I am interested in the Peg also... however I have a Chicco carseat and THREE bases and I think the Peg strollers only accept Peg carseats. I am pretty sure I want a side by side, so that is ruling out the new chicco for me, although I will test it once it arrives in stores.

Re: Double Stroller thread
go with the aria twin... u wont be dissappointed. Easy to maneuver, fold with one hand and not heavy. Can use infant seat on one side and fit a 3 year old next to the baby. Very happy with our choice. It is made well.. comes in great colors.

What brand infant seat do you have? I have a Chicco Keyfit, and wonder if it will fit...

There is a separate Jogger City Select Car Seat Adaptor for Chicco carseats and it cost another $60.00

Re: Double Stroller thread
I currently have the Graco Duoglider, and it's okay....The good thing is that its easy to fold up. The bads are that the pieces ie: canopy cupholders fall off almost every time I take it in or out of the car.
I think I will be getting rid of it and getting the Joovy Caboose Sit and Stand.

Re: Double Stroller thread
I myself do not have a double stroller but my sister's friend does and she says a side by side is very inconvenient. It's hard to get it in aisles at the store and when they go to outside events it's difficult to maneuver. So I would recommend a front-back model, although they may sell side by side models that are slimmer.
