Disappointment

22 months, 3 miscarriages, 1 chemical and a month of Intralipids, Prednisone, Lovenox, Progesterone, 12 hr headaches, crazy mood swings, anxiety, bloating, bruising, and a big fat NOT PREGNANT.

I know it might make no sense to you but try to look at the bright side: you can get pregnant. And that's a very good thing! Yes, it's very sad that you keep miscarrying but it is a good sign that you can get pregnant. Does your RE specialize in recurrent miscarriages? If he/she doesn't, try one that does. If you're already seeing one that specializes in it, switch to another. But please don't give up This is very hard and very very frustrating and sad but it will be worth it at the end. I see Dr. Braverman and I hear that he specializes in recurrent miscarriages.

I'm sorry for all you have been through! I know it is so upsetting. I have had two miscarriages myself, and know how painful this experience can be.

I think the good thing is you are now getting the right treatment. Are you doing IVF? Hopefully your next cycle will give you the BFP.

I know I try to just remind myself now that I have the right treatment, I will carry my next pregnancy to term. It will happen again for you!! I'm sorry it wasn't this month.

The emotional and phsyical aspect does take a toll on women. Just remember things will work out and then this will all be worth it!!! It's hard to look to the future, when you have had so much pain the past 2 yrs, but you can't give up on HOPE!! That is what keeps us going. I try to just picture and imagine what my future will be with my child one day! If I can just keep my eye on the prize, then it helps me to overcome my anxiety and pain. Hope that helps you!

I'm sorry it has been so so tough on you! No words can take away the sadness you've gone through but just know that we are all here with you and for you!
Do you think you would like to switch to another RE for another opinion or protocol?

Thank you for all the and words of strength. I guess I'm just a little sad and disappointed that my path to parenthood is turning out this way. I'm still a bit shocked and I'm learning more on this journey than most will in a lifetime.

As far as protocols go, I just switched to Dr. B in January and I'm happy to be in his hands. This was my first IUI cycle with meds to treat some underlying alloimmune and autoimmune issues. Basically, Dr. B just thinks that I didn't conceive this cycle. Unlike with IVF, there's no way for sure to know whether the egg fertilized or not. But I'm willing to try it again and hopefully next cycle, I will have a successful pregnancy.

I know that there will be plenty of other things to punch holes in my self esteem and knock the wind out of my self confidence as I progress through treatment and I thank you for your thoughts.
