Anyone delivery in Winthrop Hospital
I will delivery in July. Does anyone know that what stuff they will give you after you discharge? I am preparing the baby things, and don't want to buy things that they will give you after delivery.

I will be there in July too...
I had my DD there.
What I took home was just the diapers that were given, the cloths, some formula (not much) some bacitracin and whatever I needed, pads, lotions etc.
Its not a whole lot.

nope.
You do get samples for the bb's. I know I did since I BF and well, it got RAW!

Not enough to not prepare for your own stuff at home....if you plan to breastfeed, I highly recommend you use their lactation consultant while there--she was great.
Hoping the same one is around this time.

I delivered there in March....as an FYI they are no longer giving out formula samples. They said it had to do with not being able to track it if it happened to get recalled. All I was able to take was the stuff they left in my DS's bassinet...diapers, vaseline, thermometer, burp cloths and receiving blankets.
ITA with utilizing their lactation consultants while you are there if you will be breastfeeding. I worked with Betty the whole time, she was great and best of all, FREE!!

really appreciate for the detailed information! Especially for the formula. It seems that I need to prepare some my self. I thought they will provide and don't intent do prepare. Thank you again. Your baby is so cute!

i just left there monday, we DID take formula about 15 RTF 2oz bottles

yep i just had the girls there 2 weeks ago. they give you onesies that have the hospital name on it, diapers, a & d, and clothes. whatever was in the bassinet we got to take. they don't give formula samples anymore.

funny someone else who just left there posted she did get to take home formula RTF 2oz bottles.
If they don't send you home with formula...how do you prepare in advance? How do I know what formula my LO will be using?
