Newly Pregnant with Twins and i have a question
Hi Ladies, I am 6 weeks 2 days pregnant today. We found out last week it was twins. Dr. Braverman saw the heartbeats and said everything looked good. Over the weekend i woke up bleeding. Started out red, then tapered off and was dark brown. This was Saturday. No cramping or any pain. I immediately emailed Dr. B and he said it was very common and if the bleeding doesn't stop he will see me monday and if it got heavy with severe cramping to call him before monday but he didn't see that happening. Yesterday there was a little bit of brown blood mixed with some discharge. It was very little, nothing major. but it stopped by the night time and today nothing. Just some lower back pain and very dull cramping which i have had since the beginning. I read somewhere that with Twins it was more common to bleed becuase of the rapid growth of the uterus. Have any of you ladies experienced this with your twin pregnancies? TIA!

Re: Newly Pregnant with Twins and i have a question
I did have bleeding at the beginning of my pregnancy (it actually started right around 6wks, as well). For me, the bleeding was due to a subchorionic hematoma. It is a pretty scary things and, at times, I bled a lot. It finally stopped (for good) around 15wks. Up until that point, it was on and off, light brown spotting to heavy red bleeding. My RE was able to see the bleed on a sono, so if that is what your bleeding is from, they should be able to see it and know for sure.
GL and if you have any questions, feel free to FM me.

I bled twice - at 5 weeks and 6 weeks, red blood both times. Just brown again at 11 weeks. Everything was fine.

Re: Newly Pregnant with Twins and i have a question
Thanks ladies! I have had nothing since sunday. I am taking it as a good sign that i am not in any pain and have no cramping either. We go tomorrow for another sono so i am just keeping my fingers crossed. I feel much better though!

Re: Newly Pregnant with Twins and i have a question
when I was on here newly prego I had it, alot of women had it, this was one of the top questions along with did one develop more slowly then the other baby. It is very common** You can have slight to heavy bleeding, I had both. It is very common to have bleeding for no reason or bleeding due to placenta previa, many reasons. It never gets worse only better the placenta previa. Whenever you get bleeding you get off your feet and call, if it continues go to the ER. As soon as you get bleeding sustain from sex until the doc tells you. It will be o.k. I am here if u ever want to talk!

Thank you girls. turns out everything is fine. My doctor said it is very common and everything looks perfect. Now if I can only get my lower back to stop hurting. Ugh!
