Re: anyone on short term disability
I will be going out on Disability my company gave me the paperwork it was only 2 pages 1 for the employer and 1 for the Dr. You can only go out on it if the Dr takes you out of work. I am 35 weeks and still at work since it only covers 6 weeks for vaginal and 8 weeks for a c section. You qualify if you make at least $380 a week (Thats what Im told.) I am planning on working up until the end my last day of work is July 27th and Im due Aug 1 But Disability won't kick in until the day is born. The dr has to fill out the paperwork and send it to the employer then will send it to the ins company. Hope this helps.

Only if your Dr. deems it necessary medically.

Re: anyone on short term disability
If you do go on STD before the baby is born it cuts into your FMLA after the baby is born.
