Potty training question, what happens at night?

DS is in big boy underwear during the day and he wakes up from his nap dry, but we put him in pullups at night because he always wakes up wet in the morning. Do most kids wake up throughout the night to go, or do they hold it all night? We limit his liquid intake before bedtime but I don't know what else to do to help him wake up dry.

When potty trainig DD i went cold turkey, no pullups at night..some nights she woke up dry and once in a while she had an accident..when she got the hang of it (which was very quickly luckily) if she did have to go she would wake up and yell down to us on the monitor and we would get her and then she would go back to sleep..hth

DD wears pull ups to bed. she was dry for a few days, but has been waking up wet recently.

We used pull ups at night. She was almost always dry but I felt more comfortable using them because she was only 2.5 when she potty trained and I wasn't sure she would know to get up and go to the bathroom. We eventually phased them out with no problem.

my dd has been potty trainded during the day for over a year and still wakes up with a dry pull up at least three mornings a week.... Shes 3 yo
