Photography Moms... I have a question...
What is considered "digital enhancement?"
ANY manipulation whatsoever of a picture? (example...adjusting the contrast or exposure, or making it black and white?)
Thanks!

Depends on the context. Technically, any manipulation of a digital image is "digital enhancement", but depending on what the context is, adjusting the contrast or brightness, but not actually modifying the pixels might not count. With film developing, you can modify the contrast, make a color image b/w, etc.

I agree - any digital adjustments is enhancement but many labs do that for free. We would color correct prints all of the time.
I would say it depends on the context. For photo contests are stricter & spell out guidelines. For hiring a photographer, some amount of color correction/photoshopping should be included. Something out of the ordinary - remove wrinkles, bags under your eyes, could be extra.

I work in publishing, and any image that is altered from its original state is considered enhanced.
