We are going to ttc around December...i can't wait to be preggo with baby no. 2!!!
The first time i didn't appreciate it, because i got pregnant on the first try. I've wanted baby no. 2 for a while now....so i'm really hoping everything falls into place so we can start ttc in December.

I guess I am both a lurker and crasher. 
DH & I just got married about 1 month ago and we have decided to wait until the New Year to begin TTC for #1.
As far as prep goes I have been taking folic acid for a few months. I generally work out a few times a week but def have fallen out of the habit since we got married. So I plan on hitting the gym daily again. I also have a very bad back & neck so I really want to take the next few months to improve my muscle tone. As far as food goes, I have a pretty healthy diet, tons of salad, grilled chicken and veggies. I want to continue that.
I take a daily medication that my GP has already started weaning me off of so hopefully by the end of Dec I will be done w/that. I am going to start taking prenatals at the beginning of Nov and finish my last BCP pack mid Nov.
I have already learned a lot these last few days by reading all the different posts and DH & I have decided to let things happen as they will at first. If nothing happens w/in 4 months than I will probably start w/temp tracking & OPT's. If we hit the 1 yr mark and get nothing, then we will probably go see a specialist at that time.
The one thing I am nervous about is that I dont want to become obsessed and let it affect our relationship. I want us to enjoy this process so I am not focusing on a time frame. We have friends who almost ended their marriage b/c they couldnt get preggers. It was scary watching them self destruct like that! Thank goodness they figured out the problem and now they have 3!

Some days I want to move it up, other days I want to push it back! Overall I think I'm good with our intended timeline though... 
Edit: I am dying to go off the pill and see if I'm irregular or not, but I dont want to go off until Jan because I'd freak out if we got pregnant any time before that

yes and no...
last year we said we'd try around June...but June came and we weren't ready...
now we are saying end of year - like Decemberish...and part of me wants to try NOW and then part of me thinks December is too soon to try 
so i don't know what is going on with me  except that i am VERY indecisive...
i want to finish things up around the house first but i want to be pregnant so basically i'm driving myself nuts haha...
but i'm still waiting it out, i figure if i'm undecided then i'm not truly ready yet

DH and I were married in Oct. 08 and we were planning on getting right on it. I was 34 at the time (baby #1) We got back from our honeymoon to find out that DH was being laid off, along with 300 other people :(
So, we put it on the back burner. DH went back to school FT and will graduate June 2011, so we are planning to start trying in November-December of this year, this way I will hopefully be preggo and have baby after he graduates and has found a job.
We plan on trying the Shettles method (DH really wants a girl) for the first 2 months. Don't want to waste anymore time since I'm now 36.
I've been off the pill since my wedding and just started taking prenatals. I would like to loose a few pounds before trying but, need to talk to my Dr. next month bc she told me gain a few which I did but, now think too much :)

No.
DH is someone who needs "a plan" if that makes sense.
His mind is set on starting to try in January and that is when he is ready and comfortable with. So for me having him ready and comfortable is important. We are in this together, if he is not fully READY then I am not fully ready, does that make sense?

Hey ladies-- I so excited that I can finally post on this board!!! We're not "officially" trying until January, but I stopped BC 2 months ago and have been on prenatals since March. We have a big trip planned for January, but if it happens before then, we'll just have a little passenger on board

lol, yes! we didn't push it up by much though. We were going to wait until end of Aug/early Sept. but we decided to start at the beginning of August.
We'll see how it goes!

Lurker here...I have crazy baby fever but we are not going to start trying probably until Jan 2012  We want to have a house and I really need to graduate from grad school (done in Dec '11)...our first DC would be an awesome graduation present!

I'm guilty of lurking too. I was on BC for a little over 5 years and just went off 2 months ago. We aren't actively TTC yet, but we aren't actively trying to avoid pregnancy either. Right now we are just seeing what happens...otherwise we will start TTC late Spring/early Summer of 2011.

Lurking here too....We're discussing whether we want to start TTC in December, or if we're going to wait until September of next year...DD just turned 3, but the main concern is (of course) finances...
Of course, I royally messed up my BCP last pack, and there is a possibility that our "plan" is completely moot! Have to wait a few days to find out though....

Been off the pill now for almost 2 weeks and started prenatals and getting impatient to wait the full 3 months before TTC!
But I am trying to hold strong til December (which can't come fast enough!) :)

We have decided to start ttc. Although I do not have the most reg period. Some months 28 days some 32 and sometimes even 38. Anyhow I bought an ovulation kit and one day it said that I was ovulating so we  and then I took one the next day and it said I wasn't ovulating. Isn't it usually more than just a 24 hour window??? I am really a dummy at this stuff can't you tell??

We're kind of just winging it I guess. I'm not sure that I will ever make a conscious decision to want to be pregnant, so I've made the decision to just leave it up to fate.
With what I do for a living, I cannot continue it while pregnant, so it will be a HUGE lifestyle change for me which is quite scary.
I actually started lurking on this board a few weeks ago bc I'm so lost with all this...
