Re: traveling while pregnant
You probably COULD go, but whether you'd want to or not is another story.
I'm 27 weeks right now and I honestly would not want to be on a 4 hour plane ride at this point. It's just so difficult to get comfortable and I'm going to the bathroom very often because of all the water I'm drinking. It's annoying. In general, I feel very good (no more m/s, no food aversions, etc.) but I'm definitely not up to a whole vacation right now. I traveled at 18 weeks and it was fine.
Almost all airlines do not restrict you from travel until you're near the end (36 weeks) if at all. Some doctors don't want you too far away depending on complications, but most will approve you to travel as long as there's no complications.
Sorry I'm not more help. I'm sure other ladies can give more advice as well.

Re: traveling while pregnant
Spring break is usually around the week of Easter.
This year that would fall roughly I believe during the 3rd week of Easter. At least for my college that is when spring break is this year.
If they want to go during the spring break time - I would think that would be well into your 3rd trimester. (You're due in May right?) Not sure if you're supposed to fly during that time or not.
If it's February, then it would be at the beginning of your 3rd trimester or very end of 2nd, depending on when they want to go

That's "winter" break -- created in the 70s during the energy crisis so NYC schools could turn off the heat for a week to save money. They just kept it because you know how people are with their vacation times.
Spring break is around Easter / Passover.

That would definitely be the winter break vs the summer break.
There's the holiday break in december, then winter break in february and spring break in april or late march depending on when easter is.

Re: traveling while pregnant
i think you'd be able to go, but you probably would NOT be comfortable traveling and being on a plane for that long.

Re: traveling while pregnant
you should be fine to travel....my ob said o.k. to travel until the last few weeks and that's only because you want to make sure to be near your ob and hospital if you go into labor

Re: traveling while pregnant
Talk to your ob but you should be fine if you havea relatively normal pregnancy. I was just cleared to travel at 28/29 weeks - the only reason I even asked my OB is that I delivered in my past 2 pregnancies - in my 37th week so wasn't sure what her cut of would be for me. I know with my last pregnancy she said around 32 weeks she didn't want me going to far (I did travel by car at 32/33 weeks but she made me come in to get checked to make sure nothing major was going on since I was going to be a 3 hr drive from NY). The most important thing is to keep hydrated on the plane and get up multiple times and walk around. I know I felt best around my 5-6 months in general so I would go if I were you.

Re: traveling while pregnant
We went to Aruba when I was 27 weeks pregnant with my son.
Flying was horrible. And when I got back I had such severe swelling it actually caused pregnancy induced hypertension. I was on bedrest from 33 weeks +.
Not to say that happens to everyone. My sister traveled to Arizona when she was around the same time and was totally fine.
But given my past experience I would not travel again while pregnant.

Re: traveling while pregnant
I just arrived in FL (from NY) at 27 weeks and it wasnt so bad. The 3 hour delay and stress was the worst part. I walked on the plane a bit and only got up to pee 2 times I'm hoping for the same flight home minus the delay
my doc. said I could still fly at 34 weeks

Re: traveling while pregnant
You can technically fly up until the 9th month. I HAD to travel for business a bit during my pregnancy and in the last tri. It really isnt so bad. Especially if your going with your hubyy for a fun trip!
I got the compression socks and my feet didnt swell at all. I didnt really have a problem with swelling in my pregnancy though (not yet anyhow- 3 weeks to go).
I say go for it! It may be the last time you are able to go away for awhile
