Portrait studio's
I posted the other day about taking DS to get his one year pictures taken at a photo studio. I was going to take him to JC Penney but I don't like the birthday props they use. I want the big numbers...I see that Sears uses them. Has anyone used them recently? Are they good? What about The Picture People? Or the photo place at BRU. Almost every one has coupons. I am also going to do his Christmas pictures that day. I can't afford a lot and I want to get a picture CD with it....Please help me....

Re: Portrait studio's
So far we have not done the numbers props but I get great photos from Sears. I don't get why they get a bad rap. My only issue with them is that they try to upsell to get you to add to your package and that attempt almost always works on me. I always insist on having a CD with the rights to print. As soon as I say I want that, they know that they can sell me some things that go with that! My friend goes to the same Sears location that I do and she just tells them from the start that she is only doing XYZ package. She said that they do not push her to buy more. I tend to overspend there but I would not be doing that if I didn't love the shots that they get. My friend also loves the shots she gets.

Ive used Sears as well since DS was born, and I ALWAYS turn down the upsell. You can find coupons for packagaes, although they dont give you alot, for usually $7.99, if your lucky $4.99. I then go to CVS and make copies if I need extra, even though I know your not supposed to do that
I go the one in Hicksville, and the people there are super nice.
Let me know if you want I have a gazillion coupons for Sears, I can send some to you if youd like

Re: Portrait studio's
We just used Kiddie Kandid's at BRU in Bohemia this past weekend for DS 6 month photos. I dont know about the props you are looking for, but they did have a lot of props around. They did a great job. I thought they were reasonably priced. We got the CD and 16 sheets of photos!

I use Sears at Smithhaven for the big number birthday photos and I've always been happy with them.
They are not pricey if you use coupons.
Just an FYI - you can get the CD regardless of what else you purchase. The price of the CD gets adjusted DOWN with each actual photo you buy. So, for example, let's say you don't buy a package, but use coupons to get 10 sheets of photos, the CD might be $100, or let's say you buy the $150 photo package - the CD might be $50, but if you bought the $175 photo package the CD would be free. (this is not the actual Sears pricing, I just wanted a concrete example of what I was saying).
