i feel terrible- WOHM guilt

DD is in a jewish preschool, 3 yo. they have shabbat party on friday- every friday a girl is the shabbat mommy and boy is the daddy. they light candles, have challah, so on. kid is supposed ot bring snack.
I WOHM 3x a week- nanny takes/picks her up from preschool those days. usually does not unpack knapsack, so i see notes that come home.
this friday, DD was shabbat mommy. she came howm with the hat in her knapsack. teacher must have sent home a note earleir in the week, i didn't get it- i guess nanny must have put it down- i actually jsut found the note under a pile of stuff. so i was supposed ot send snack, and i didn't. and DD told me. i'm not worried about kids not having snack, school alway has stuff, i jsut feel bad.
i'm going to tell nanny on monday she either does nto unpack knapsack or leave note where i see it. thsis is the first time it happened, but i'm annoyed.
hwo would you handle with teacher? i wnat ot apologize. write a note for nanny to give on monday? or just tell nanny to tell teacher i didn't get note? or- i will see teacher on tuesday, wait and talk to her on tuesday? i do NOT have teachers email address.

Dont beat yourself up. Talk to the teacher on Tue, exchange e-mails. I would request all communications be via e-mail from this point on. Also let the nanny know you will unpack her bag, or makea folder for notes and such. Then the nanny can put everything in there and you can check it. Prevents things getting lost. Also i would send snack and a sorry note w/ nanny on Mon. No harm no foul.

This same exact thing happened to me on Friday. I had a vacation day and saw on the calendar that DS' snack day was last Weds. I never saw the snack calendar for November come home with him. I just apologized profusely and said to sign me up for two in a row next month! They were cool about it. I'd just write a note and send it with the nanny on Monday.

I wouldn't feel that bad about it - I'm sure the teachers are used to it... that s why they have the extra snacks.


My DH drops the baby off - and I miss all the notes.
