Re: Mommies of 2 or more, come in. What do you do with the shopping cart?
I have an almost 15 month old & a 4 month old. I can rarely do a big shop because there is no way to fit everything in the car with the two kids & I refuse to pull the double stroller as I push the shopping cart.
I usually put the 15 month old in the seat portion & the 4 month old in the big part in his infant carrier. I usually will use the under part for the majority of the stuff & have found really creative ways to store stuff inside thebasket while DS is in the infant carrier

I wore the baby and put the toddler in the seat.

Re: Mommies of 2 or more, come in. What do you do with the shopping cart?
I try to avoid large shopping trips with the two of them. Instead I do smaller trips more often or one large shopping online. When I do go with the both of them, the baby goes in the back in her infant carrier and toddler gets the seat. I pile things around the infant carrier, next to my toddler and under the cart when there is a spot to do it. You figure it out.

Mine are 23 months apart. DS1 ALWAYS went on top(baby in carrier never went up there!) At Costco, baby in carrier went in big basket and I packed the cart around the infant seat. After a few months, baby went into a sling or Bjorn. I pretty much wore him until he was well over a year!

Re: Mommies of 2 or more, come in. What do you do with the shopping cart?
The supermarket by me has those huge carts that have the two "driving" spots up top...my 23 month-old DD sits there. The cart itself has two tiers...a tiny basket up top (fits the infant seat PERFECTLY if put in facing sideways) and then I get the tiny, 2x4 basket at the bottom for the groceries As such, I usually wait until the weekend for big shopping trips so DH can push a second cart. I can't wait for DS to be big enough to sit next to DD, that will be a huge help! Then I won't have to drag DH along!

The sling was my best friend for the months before Chase could sit up. now that he sits up, Ava walks and I put him in the cart.

Re: Mommies of 2 or more, come in. What do you do with the shopping cart?
either the infant goes in the bjorn and the toddler in the seat on the cart. or the toddler in the seat on the cart and the infant in the carrier in the basket(which means i can't buy too much, unless i use the shelf underneath. )
Mine are now 18 months and 5 months.

a 3 yr old can walk...
We usually have Noah walk, and as an infant , one would go up front, one in the back.
More often I have Noah walk, and the double stroller and I attach the mommy hooks and put the hand held shopping baskets on there...we are a WIDE load coming down the aisles but it works.

Big shopping trips are on the weekend or at night when they're sleeping.
If we had to bring both, the toddler walks (helps push!)
