Pple touching your belly

Other than DH or a close girl friend. Do you think it's weird or get uncomfortable?

Maybe it's just me. When I was prego with my DS my BIL would touch my belly once in a while. Thought it was weird, but I remember him only doing it once or twice and didn't think anything of it.
So, I'm only about 11 weeks prego with #2 (obviously haven't come out yet )... the other day we had my fam over for dinner and BIL just stops me and put his hand on my belly. I know we're fam, but I was a bit uncomfortable with it. It's one thing if it was my mom or of course DH, but weird it was my BIL. PLUS, I'm not showing at all. I feel more bloated so I was real uncomfortable. DH even said later that it was weird. I could NEVER see DH touching my sister's stomach when she was prego and she had 4 kids.

It hasn't bothered me much yet because most of the belly touching has been either at my insistence or by close friends/family. If someone I wasn't comfortable with touched my belly I'd probably just take a step back and say, "Whoa - next time ask first so I can be prepared!" The people I know usually ask first so this hasn't been a problem for me yet!

I think because I'm pleasantly plump I'm very uncomfortable with anyone touching my belly. I mean at 8 weeks what is there to feel? LOL my MIL is the #1 offender of this, I can't walk past her w/o her grabbing my stomach

i'm 13 weeks and not showing yet so yes if someone touches it now i feel a little uncomfy becaus ethey are really just touching my chub lol but once my belly pops, i wont mind. well wait....i wont mind family and friends. i WILL mind strangers. i know sometimes strangers ask to touch it and i thiink thats weird! thats a no no

It depends on the person - but close family and friends I am ok with but there are some people that I am like seriously get away from me!!

Its a little annoying. I don't necessarily mind a gentle rub here or there. But there are some people who rub me like Buddah and that I can't stand.

I'm the type of person who likes my space (lol). I don't like random people touching me just in general so it definitely would annoy me if strangers were doing it. But as of now I've only experienced people i have a relationship touching the belly (and it's only been women and not very often) so I can't complain. I don't mind the ones who HAVE because I know they just love me and are excited - I think that's sweet.

It really depends on the person. If it's close family or friends, It doesn't bother me at all. In fact I like it. It's cute.

But if it's a random person or acquaintance then no way. That's really uncomfortable and weird.

Most people do ask before they do it though so I think that's nice at at least.

I too like my space and don't like people touching me in general or standing way too close to me.... so the belly touching is an issue for me! Besides DH I feel totally skeeved out by this. I mean if the baby would start kicking I'll let you feel him but what's the point of just rubbing me... I’m not a good luck charm!

Honestly not a fan, but I don't like people touching me anyway....if a family member or friend asked I wouldn't mind, but I did think it was weird with my first DC when co workers or people I barely knew would touch me

It bothers me when I dont know the person.... I am a teacher and I dont like it when a random kid comes up and touches my belly either bc its inappropriate but otherwise I am ok with it.


When I was like 10 weeks my FIL did it and it was weird not because of that but because I had no belly yet.... the part that's even weirder is that he hasn't done it since and I am huge now!

I am almost 15 weeks with twins so Im showing a good amount and people are not used to me with a belly at all.
I don't mind at all when people touch my belly as long as its not some stranger.
I guess it also depends of the relationship u have with the other person

It honestly doesn't bother me at all unless it was a complete stranger then I would be freaked out a little. Lots of people that I know touch my belly. They are all really cute about it.

LOL i had this exact same thing happen to me and I was weirded out by it as well. All I can say is as your belly continues to grow it will bother you less and less. Especially as you realize people are doing this because they find your new body irresistably adorable.

It really doesn't bother me but I have to like the person and their energy. I know weird.

I don't like ANYONE touching my stomach except for DH. It catches me so off guard. I know so many people would disagree with me on that one, but I just don't like it.

One of my friends tried to sneak behind me to touch my stomach, and I fell off my chair because I was so surprised . It's funny because I am usually the first person to give out hugs, so it's not like I usually don't like human contact; this is just different for some reason!

i made it perfectly clear that the bellly was off limits. i dont like to be touched on a regular day, nevermind pg.

I absolutely hate the idea of anyone touching my belly.

Perhaps I'm sensitive because I was already chubby as hell to begin with -- but as this pregnancy progresses I will be sure to let people know that they are NOT allowed to touch my belly.

It makes me VERY VERY self conscious and uncomfortable.

my dh and mom, whenever. little kids in the family ask and i dont mind...everyone else-it depends, prefer my space.
