If you want a solo practice, I use Dr David Eysler in Hicksville. I really love his NP, not your typical midwife.
He delivers at NS Plainview or Winthrop if anything special is needed.

Thank you for the dr. recommendation. I am going to try Dr. Zandieh. When should i schedule my first visit? for 8 weeks? 6 weeks? I am about 4 right now.

They are a great OB/Midwife pair, and very open to letting a mother birth the way she wants to..
There were serveral names on here that actually make me shudder, so please do your homework when deciding... Keep in mind, Winthrop has (I believe) the highest Ç-Section rate on the island..

Is Betsy Fitsimmons still with their practice? I really likes her, but I have to say... EVERYONE I know or have heard is with that practice has ended up with a section... Dr. Blinderman's husband is an AMAZING pediatrician, but his wife Arnelle Blinderman unfortunatfely has quite a repuataion..

yes she is still with that practice. I went there till I was 37 weeks. The stuff that went on with this practice I could not even believe they still have patients. I actually like Dr.Blinderman but I can go on for hours about things that happened to me that no one would even belive with Dr.King. They same time I was going through this I found another pregnant female on here that had the same stories VERY SCARY!! I left and went to a different group at 37 weeks pregant. It was not easy but I tell you it was the best decision that I ever made.

Island ob/gyn in massapequa on sunrise highway.
They have different offices too. I mostly see Dr Ramirez and I loveeee her, but they are all good there.

I'm so sorry to hear that you had to go through that.. Switching late in the game is scary and takes a very strong woman.. GOOD FOR YOU!!!
I'd have to say, out of all practices I've heard about on LI, that has to be one of the roughest to swallow..

when you call, they'll ask the date of your last period. they scheduled for my first appt for 6.5 weeks.

Dr Forgionne in RVC. THE BEST! Three wonderful woman. Love them and I miss them since moving to NJ. They are sooo caring and take their time. Easy to fit you in for sick visits too. They call back pretty fast as well.
Love em! FM if you want more info. Others on here suggested them for me when I was looking for a recommendation.
