DROID USERS - QUESTIONS - DATA PLAN and WHICH DROID???!
Which droid do you recommend? and, i basically will use it for emails (work and personal) and texting.
i have a blackberry now and use barely 15MBs, and i am paying for the 150MB plan. i could drop from 29.99 to 15.99 per month, which i'd love.
so, if you use the droid, how many MB do you use?
Any info you can share?
ETA: OOPS! should have said Verizon is my carrier.

funny bc I just switch my plan yesterday but are you sure you are paying 29.99 for only 150mb. Bc I was paying that for unlimited and just dropped to 150mb for 15.99
ETA: I have a blackberry not a droid. So I wouldnt know if you need extra data for any apps.
Yesterday the rep told me I wasnt using anywhere near 150mb as well and that I should drop my plan from UL to 150mb. so i did to save some $$$$

maybe it's for unlimited. but i am not using NEAR that.
but, i heard that the droid has applications on it that run in the background and you "should" get the unlimited plan.
this from the rep on the phone...

I am with Verizon and I pay 29.99 for unlimited text/data.
I have the original droid which is fine but I never use the regular keyboard so I'd like to get a new one that doen't have it and is lighter.

I have a Verizon BB and I have the $15 data plan. I've been using it a lot and haven't come close to using my 150mb.
ETA: DH has an Incredible with the unlimited data plan. He loves it. So easy to use!

I just got the Incredible last week, and I am obsessed with it! It's so easy to use and much lighter than the other Droids I saw in the store. I have the unlimited data plan ($29.99) b/c the store rep told me the Droids really eat up your data. I ended up purchasing my phone on amazonwireless.com for $0.01 - check there before you buy it from Verizon - it was so much cheaper!!!

unlimited (your going to need it if you use it for work emails as well) and i have a droid x and love it.

since droids are so powerful, quick, etc.., you will eat up data like white bread.
i would stick with unlimted as they are changing the smaller plan very soon so they can roll out there new LTE pricing. I think the smaller plan with be 75mb or so in the future. not sure when that will go into effect.

I suggest taking the unlimited plan for 29.99. Monitor your usage for at least 2 months and then change it to the 150mb/$15 plan if you see that you are consinstantly under that.
