scarred and spotting red

Hi Ladies, please help ease my nerves or be brutally honest!

I'm going on 5 wks. I've had mild cramps for the whole time which I hear can be normal until today. I wiped and it was bright red blood streak like the color of a fresh cut. It only showed all day when I wiped. I understand brownish and pink are ok but no one has anythin to say about red?

Some have told me implantation? But doesn't that happen 6-10 days after ovulation? Well that was Feb 2nd and I'm well pass that.

I called the DR and don't go til tomorrow after 7pm. My 8wks appt wasn't suppose to be 3/9 but they want me there sooner so I'm concerned!

Trying to be positive! This is my first and scary! Please advise me if anyone can relate?!

I had that with my first pregnancy...I ended up having low progestrone and had to have suppositories throughout my first trimester to keep my #'s high. My DD was born perfectly fine. I am glad they are having you come in that they can at least run some bloodwork on you

Ohhh might I add, I had sex 24hrs prior! Could that have done it?

There are so many things that can cause bleeding in pregnancy..I bled both with my DD and with my current pregnancy ( both due to a subchorionic hematoma which is a blood clot on the uterus)

Sex can also irritate the cervix (as can internals), and as PP said low progesterone etc...

I know how hard it is to remain calm, but try your best to relax until you are seen by your doctor
