engagement ring insurance - pricing
Does anyone have a reasonable engagement ring insurance policy? Mine is insured under Allstate and it's expensive. It's on my homeowner's insurance. Granted, it's insured for $30,000, but still, I am unemployed and don't want to pay 75 dollars a month for insurance. I really don't believe I will lose the ring. I don't know what to do, so I want to find a good deal.

go to jewelers mutual.. they ONLY insure insurance.. what you are paying is RIDICULOUS! I insure way more than you have and pay a heck of alot less!

we use chubb and it's about $200 a year for my engagement ring and wedding band.

OMG You are being ripped off. Go to Jewelers Mutual and save yourself a ton of $$$$. I think a policy for the YEAR is about 200 for a $30,000 ring.

I just got a quote for less than 30K coverage and the policy would be $260 for the year. I'm in Queens though so I don't know if it's more than Nassau or Suffolk. The quote I got is half of what I'm paying through my renter's insurance though.

I am in NJ - I guess it is by location and amount. I did not realize that they charged more based upon where you live. So I did the free quote for 30k and NY its about 475. NJ costs less. With that said you are paying 900 so that is a huge savings.
