First I think I would call and make an appointment rather than just show up.

I do not know the exact rules but as long as you let him know asap you should be fine.

re: last on senority list--Worst case you may be excessed and can try to use the open market to secure another job OR if you love your school/district and DO NOT want to leave technically they cant make you. Bloomberg is trying to and should change this but for the time being you will be getting paid and probably used as a perm sub IF excessed.

I would contact your district rep if you are unsatisfied w/your schools rep

Thanks for the response.

I was definitely going to call in the am to see if the principal could see me. Honestly though, its nearly impossible to make an appt because I work as well. And I know he is busy. So I guess we shall see. I am so stressed.

Great idea to contact the district rep.
I jst don't get why I am late, I mean the paperwork is not out.

I returned two years ago from a 6 year leave. I didn't let my adminstration know formally until mid April when they sent me the papers to fill out. They did know informally however around February that I had planned to return (since I kept in touch with my secretary).

At first I was told there was a possibilty that I would be excessed based on enrollement numbers, I ended up at the last minute being called back to my original school and class. However, the following year I ended up being excessed. Thankfully I found a job in June before school ended through the open market and was appointed to this school.

Thanks! Well I called this morning and he was not in. The payroll secretary told me to just fill out the paper work and hand deliver it. Only problem is I do not know when the paper work will come out. And my secretary has been known to give out incorrect info. Hmm. IDK

What would you do?
