Certification Name Change
Hi everyone!
I've been teaching for 12 years and have my permanent certification in my maiden name. Did anyone apply for a new certification once they got married? Is it necessary if you don't plan on switching districts?

It is not necessary. I have switched districts after I changed my name and it was not an issue.

I changed mine at school and I think they notified the state.

i did it, and later found out that it's not necessary.... save the money! they track your certification by your social security number, so it's okay if your maiden name is on the cert.
