NT Scan Results
Dr. Kofinas just called me to give me my results. Baby B is 1/5500, which he said is as good as it gets, chances are the same as if I was 21 yrs old. Baby A is 1/600 He didn't seem too concerned and said it was still well in normal range. That 1/220 is when the request additional testing (CVS, Amnio) but still, its SCARY. I know these tests aren't accurate and are more of a guidline, but its SO stressful.
He did ask if we wanted to do more testing, I declined. DH and I are both on the same page in that we do not want any additional testing. The outcome wouldn't change anything anyway.
Did anyone have such low ratios?

Re: NT Scan Results
with my ds i had 1/320 - i have a health boy and no problems
eta i did not do any further testing
also remeber it is harder to measure twins and if the measurement of the fold is slightly off it can effect the odds

Re: NT Scan Results
Sorry to crash (I've been doing that to a lot of your posts lately!! ) but I don't think that's a low ratio! Think about it .. 1 in 600 is also 599/600 everything is FINE!!
From what I remember, you also get blood work at 16wks which will give you even more precise numbers.
If I were you I wouldn't be worried!

Re: NT Scan Results
My results were fine, but I remember being nervous about the test because they told me a higher rate of false positives for mulitples.

Re: NT Scan Results
I saw dr. Kofinas as well and Both my twins were given a 1/5.....yep 1/5 chance of having one of the trisomies. I was devastated and Kofinas pushed us to do further testing and even wanted us to see a genetic counselor. We declined and needless to say I have to healthy 8 month olds!!!! Those tests are soooooooo not accurate with multiples! Do not worry at all.,.your numbers were perfect!
