FET...1 embryo?
Has anyone ever done a FET with one embryo? I have 8 left over, but am a little nervous about having twins, so I may consider doing one cycle with just one and if that doesn't work do 2 the next time. It's all out of pocket, so that factors in too.
My RE always recommends doing 2 since it ups the odds. I'm torn though, because when I did IVF the first time, we put back two and and only one took.

Re: FET...1 embryo?
They say the body remembers being pregnant, so maybe since you've been pregnant before, you will be lucky again using only one. If you are nervous about twins, I'd transfer just one like you're thinking, and maybe go to 2 next time. But I think it's important to know the quality of the embryos you have. Maybe consider 2 if the quality is low? I'm not sure a RE should have a blanket policy of always recommending transfering 2. I think it should be a case by case basis, considering the grade of embryo, the woman's history, and the woman's concerns or worries about multiples. Good luck.
