nervous wreck here
I am working this week..have to work today and tomorrow, and then i'm done but i'm freaking out just waiting to miscarry. Will i have any early signs before it happens? As of now i don't feel much of anything (other than my pregnancy symptons). According to my calculations i am 9 weeks 2 days today. This is truly a horrible experience..never an easy way to have a miscarriage, but for me i'd be better off just having it come compltelty unexpected. I sit here and wait now.

Re: nervous wreck here
nervously waiting to miscarry was the reason I scheduled my d&c. It was really messing with my head. If you feel you can't take it try calling your doctor and see if they can schedule a D&C for you. I was adamant about miscarrying on my own and not scheduling surgery but after it was over I was glad I did it.

I thought you still had another appointment... try and stay calm, its not helping if youre consumed by the thought of waiting to miscarry... theres still so much up in the air right now

Re: nervous wreck here
i do have another app't on Friday for another scan, but in the meantime i know there is still a chance that i can miscarry before i make it to the app't. I want to remain positive, and i love the website misdiagnosed miscarriages since it does give me some hope, but i am still very nervous about possibly miscarrying at any second. I'm just a wreck.

Re: nervous wreck here
Ugh the waiting is terribly, huggs
Honestly I was NOT waiting for mine to happen but rather I was in the midst of switching doctors and couldn't get my D&C schedule fast enough. I did start bleeding on my own though, yuck. From what I hear everyone is different...some girls get 1-2 days of a heavy heavy bleed and some take a few weeks. Mine started light on a Thursday night, just spotting and some liquid. Then it got heavier with intense cramps and clots. The pain was very excruciating, worse then period cramps. Advil worked pretty good but once it wore off I was back in bad pain again and almost cold sweats at times. It affected my sleeping too, the cramps seemed to come bad at like 11pm for some reason. This went on for 5 days and it was terrible but on the 6th day I got the D&C.
I finally got a new doctor and they finished the job for me and I was so thankful. I never wanted to pass on my own, but it just so happened that I started too, ugh. I really hated the experience, sorry, not to scare you or anyone, but I am queasy and the whole thing just really got to me and was also emotionally draining. I cried alot during the passing, it was rough. And I walked around with like 10 pads stuffed in my purse and also extra underwear and pants at work - ugh. Oh and I was also scared I was going to bleed for weeks and weeks so I got the D&C to clean me out and start fresh.
Some people prefer to pass on their own and that is ok but I just could not handle it.

I agree with Ang. Please try to stay calm and think positive. I know it must be hell for you right now, but there is still a lot of hope. I'm praying soooo hard for you!!!

Re: nervous wreck here
thanks Stacey (i hope that's your name!). I am praying a lot too. My friend works in the medical field and one of her friends that does sonos said that sonos can sometimes be off by up to two weeks, even if you know your exact dates. The waiting is just so hard, i really can't think about anything else. Thanks again for thinking of me, i really appreciate it. As much as i want to be positive, i also need to be prepared for the worse.

Re: nervous wreck here
i can't really say for sure, but i'm 99% there was a sac (is that the same as yolk sac). I keep replaying the words that the doctor said in my head when she called with blood results - "we've made mistakes in the past, we could be wrong" (or something to that effect) - I pray that they made a mistake, but i can't count on that now. In a pregnany that isn't viable, would you still be very hungry? I have been starving. Not sure if that is just part of the pregnancy hormones at this point.

I finally have my d&c scheduled for this thursday. i was waiting to m/c on my own but i have not a single symptom. as for still being hungry, yes! i am along with other pg symptoms as well. i was told i still would have symptoms because my body still thinks i am pregnant (techinicaly i am) there is just no baby =( good luck with your appointment!

So sorry. I hope you get one last sonogram before D&C just to be sure. Being in limbo like this while your body is actually pregnant is by far one of the hardest things I've ever gone through. If I get a bad report on Friday, i will most likely schedule d&c for the next week, i just can't live like this.

since you still have pregnancy hormones in your body until you expel the fetus, you would be experiencing pregnancy symptoms until you miscarry or have a d&c unfortunately (and possibly for some time thereafter). after my d&c my boobs were still sore, i was still bloated and carrying extra weight... it took forever for my beta to go down to zero.
but please don't give up hope yet, we are all crossing our fingers for you
