tips on house training?
We don't have consistency yet - sometimes my puppy makes on her wee wee pad and we praise her, etc. But sometimes she pees on the couch, the floor or her crate.
Does anyone have any tips to share on how to improve this?

you have to clean the area where she peed with nature's miracle. your pup might smell where she peed before and keep peeing on it.
Since she is a pup you will also have to keep her on a schedule. every morning take her out at the same time, and do it every couple of hours. She has a small bladder and needs to empty it more often than an adult dog. Also make sure you take away her water an hour before bed and make sure she is walked before bed.

I am 1000000000% for crate training.. And no wee wee pads if you plan on training to go outside eventually..

Hmmm sounds like the crate might be too big. See if you can section it off for now until your pup gets a little bigger!

This, absolutely this. Get rid of the wee wee pads, you'll only end up having to train the dog not to go on them. All you are teaching the dog is that it's ok to go in the house, it confuses them when you take away the wee wee pads and say "don't go in the house".
Get a product- there are some organic ones - and clean any spot where you have had a wee wee pad to get rid of the odor - do it over and over just in case.
Go right from crate training outside. 15 minutes after eating, playing or anything - go outside. We made a HUGE fuss when Logan would go outside - tons of praise - no treats - just praise. If the dog starts going around in circles and sniffing - right outside. Before bedtime - right outside.
We ended up putting bells (like jingle bells- got them at a craft store) - on a cord and hung them on the door going out. Every time we took Logan out (and said "puppy go pee") - we would take his paw and smack the bells. After about 2 weeks he figured out to do this to tell us he had to go pee..or whatever.

The crate training was the fastest and most effective for us. Our small dog was first in our kitchen with a gate, but would pee, poop/toss it around and tear apart wee wee pads even using the pad tray to keep it down...the crate was the perfect tool and at 2, he never has an accident in the house.

Agreed.
And if she is going in her crate, the crate is too big or she is being left so long in the crate that her little body literally cannot hold it. The crate should be big enough for her to stand, lay down, and turn around. That's it.

Crating and don't let him have run of the whole house. We have a yorkie who for some reason, are the hardest dogs to housetrain and the vet said DONT let them run around the whole house. gate off a small area and gradually give them bigger and bigger areas. Our smart little pup was completely housetrained in 6 months... who said you can't housetrain a yorkie??
