FTWM of 2 under 2 announcing at work

So i've been a nervous wreck about telling my bosses at work a/b my little one coming in Dec. My DD just turned 1. SO i figured they wouldn't see this coming. But talk about RUDE!!!!! My friend at work told me to just relax people will be excited about a baby it's okay.
So I told 1 of my bosses and her initial reaction was to grab her hair and go omg you're going to have 2 in diapers what were you thinking? And then congratulations. ***!!!!!!!
And it felt like i was in a bus crash b/c I heard what she said but kept moving towards a polite response like yes we were surprised to (which is the truth). But do you have absolutely NO Freakin CLASS!?!!!?! To be fair her family member is sick but I've been working to try and make her life easier while she deals with all of this. And regardless does she have to verbal diaherria!?!?! It was awful - once what she said settled in I almost started crying but couldn't b/c there was still a few hours left in the day.
Luckily my other boss was very sweet and said congrats and blah blah blah.
*** do people really not think before they speak!?!?!
Anybody else have bad experiences/??
I'm SOOOOO ****** & UPSET!

Maybe she was joking? I got a lot of those kinds of comments when I was pregnant with #2 (and I had 2 under 2 as well). Don't let it get to you...you're going to love having your DC so close!!

she was being selfish and worrying about how it will affect her. People always have stupid comments don't let it bother you, this is great news!

As a mom of 2 under 2 and having them 13.5 months apart, a lot of people have verbal diarrhea. Just ignore them and celebrate happily for your new little one! Congrats!!

I hear you...I am DREADING telling my boss. WHen you get lack-luster reactions from friends and family, it's scary to think about how your boss will react. Sorry u had to deal w/ this too!
