What do you do with this website? I opened an account because I was curious about it and I think someone invited me years ago. So I have a bunch of connections but I don't know what purpose it really serves. Does having your job info posted there imply you are job hunting or anything like that?

it can be used for different things - it is a professional version of facebook - you can network with other collegues to find clients or work but also be aware they sell your information to head hunters so i know i get job recomendations through that
it matters on your field how much you use it - i could imagaine sales you could use it alot as an attorney i use it alot and should use it more to make conenctions and find new clients

Thanks for the info and the FYI about the head hunters. I can't see using the sight for getting clients or anything but I wouldn't mind job leads so long as it doesn't appear to be my motive to my coworkers and supervisors that are also members.

yep-they also have great high and executive level jobs posted. If you are a professional, you should be on LinkedIn IMO

I agree...also, most people who are looking to hire check the site out. I have reccomendations and a person who interviewed me specifically cited once of them
