Definitely not doing it. The percentage of those that do is down to 30 percent. Most men in my family are not and hygiene has not been an issue since birth. But it is a personal opinion tho.

I am very curious where your got the 30%? is that worldwide?

This website says 56% of babies in the US are circumcised in hospitals, which does not include those done in a doctors office or other setting (like a Jewish Bris). That number is from 2006 so it's a little outdated, i admit ... But I'd be surprised it dropped all the way to 30% since then.

I believe we will (assuming it's a boy)... but I also heard that insurance companies are starting not to cover it. I'm hoping mine does!!

We will be getting him circumcised. When I read up on it the only con of having it done was reduced feeling during intercourse. DH said he had no point of reference but wasn't complaining either.

I think this is where the info was pulled.

Can't make link from my phone.

My son is, and if my next is a boy, he will be also. Just to look like daddy.

Yes...I did with my 1st DS as well. My doctor told me that medically it was healthier for the baby and I was going to do it for aesthetic reasons anyway. DH is, so it wasn't even a question for us.

FYI my DS recovered from it within a day...my doctor told me that it is a major surgery later on in life.
