When did "Foreign language" become "Languages other then English"?
I went to the awards at the Middle School. They presented awards for "Languages Other Then English". What happened to Foreign Language?

It's the NYS term. I believe that it is supposed to support multiculturalism, especially in the local community (ie there are a lot of native Spanish speakers in NY, so Spanish is not technically a foreign language)

What's wrong with being foreign??? Is there a word left in the English language that a group of people does not find offensive??

I don't think that anyone found it offensive. But Spanish is really no longer a foreign language in this country. Semantics or a better definition.
