No i just got them like a few months ago .. and I went to Jack Rabbit so I know theyre the right kind .. I know when it happened. I was running Sunday and I kept feeling like my foot didnt feel comfortable so I kept digging my heel in (I cant explain it right) but when I got home from that run I knew I did something because they hurt right after. Ugh .. I hope it gets better soon. I have a 10K coming up July 9th.

I hate them!! Hurts like hell. I started running Saturday and the pain finally is starting to go away today!!!! It's ridiculous! I think it's a sign you may need new sneakers? That's the time I get them the most!

Ice! Get paper cups and fill them with water, put them in a freezer to make ice cups. Once they are frozen, rip off some of the cup so a thin layer of ice is exposed. Rub the effected area with the cup. When no more ice is left, peel back some more of the paper - repeat.

How many months ago? I need to change my sneakers every 2.5-3 months.

How many miles do you run a week?
If you are running 25 miles a week for the last 4 months - you are at about 400 miles on those shoes. I would say your shoes should still be good for another 4-6 weeks. Shoes usually need to be replaced at ~500 miles.

Im running only about 15-20 miles/wk so I think Im good. I may need even more stability than I already have. I overpronate so much. Im constantly pressing against my heel awkardly because the shoe doesnt feel right. Cant explain what I mean but I think Im giving them to myself by moving my leg this way every so often during the run.

Re: SHIN SPLINTS
Do you lace up to the last possible lace. My DH has a special way he ties his shoes to prevent it from lifting up. I wish I could explain it but it helps to lock the heel in place. I will see if I can find a video of it somewhere.

Re: SHIN SPLINTS
I tend to agree that it's your shoes.
you can try a different lacing, like C mentioned. I wonder if she means using the outside hole. lace it through there (same side), so there is a small amount of lace, then cross laces to other side and slip through the small amount of lace and tie like you usually do.

Okay thanks! Its definitely a matter of the heel slipping .. so I have to stop sometimes during a run and like lean on the side of my heel to make it feel "right" ..
I do lace up all the way but just the normal way ...
Thanks for all the responses! They still hurt but better than the past few days. Hopefully i'll be out there Saturday

This is exactly what I mean! It helps to keep the shoe in place.
