Breastfeeding

Hi ladies!!

My sister is giving me her Medella breastpump which is pretty much brand new since she only used it 3 times.

I'm completing my registry and dont know a thing about what accessories to get to go with it. Both my sisters ended up not breastfeeding, so I dont know who to ask? What do you really need and what is not necessary?

also if she is giving me the Medella brand breastpump....i would imagine I would have to get Medella accessories as well right? Im lost and any help would be great!!

Re: Breastfeeding

I would get new tubing, new breastshields, the SoftFit ones were very comfortable, probably a spare parts kit to change the parts so everything is new for your milk and not anything leftover from hers. The QuickClean wipes and MicroStem bags were a major help too, you can just throw your parts and stuff in the bag and it sterilizes it in no time!

what she said.

my sister gave me her medela pump also - what i found helpful was to go in the owners manual, there's a page with Item #'s for all the parts that fit properly with that model of pump, and you want to make sure the #'s match with the parts you are looking at in the store or online (i know amazon lists the medela stock #'s). Yes you should get Medela accessories, they sell them at BRU and BBB. The only thing I had a problem with was the tubing - I had to get it from amazon.
