2 naps down to 1....what age?
DD is just about 15 months old. She always takes 2 naps, one around 12:30-2, and another at 5:30-7ish. Both are right before a meal, so when she wakes up we have either lunch or dinner ready for her. The past 2 days she didn't sleep well for her 12:30 nap and did not sleep at all for her 5:30 nap. She had "downtime" in her crib and played for a while, then cried because she was bored. At what age did your DC's go from 2 naps down to 1. I really hope that this was just a weird thing and she goes back to her routine. I'm just about 36 weeks with and would LOVE for her to stay on her 2 naps.

Re: 2 naps down to 1....what age?
wow 5:30 seems kind of late for a nap... but I guess all babies are different
DS did this around 12m. He was not napping one of his naps, so I dropped it, hoped he's get 1 good 3 hour nap, and he does. He wakes up in morn around 7, naps 12-3 and bedtime at 8.
eta: but I didn't understand what was going with him for weeks... it might be a fluke I'd wait to see how it plays out before making major changes.

Re: 2 naps down to 1....what age?
My DD is 15 months old and is down to 1 nap a day. She used to take 2-3 naps a day then went to 2 naps at about 8 months and at about 12 months started sporadically going to 1. Now at 15 months she has been only taking 1 nap, and today she only napped for 40 minutes.

Re: 2 naps down to 1....what age?
My DS is 14 months and his naps have been shifting lately. Normally he has a very good schedule but lately his naps have been off. I am not sure exactly what is going on but I pray that he keeps the 2 naps for a bit longer!!
I have no advice, just wanted to say I am right there with you. From talking to other Moms I think it ranges greatly when they drop to 1 nap.

Re: 2 naps down to 1....what age?
I don't know what age but I had a similar nap issue a couple of weeks ago. DD will be 1 next week. Like 2 or 3 weeks ago she was giving problems with her naps. She was fighting them especially the afternoon nap. We tried to push back her morning nap and try to make it one nap a day. This seemed to work! She napped from around 1pm to 330-4 for a couple of days. We thought we had solved the problem. This lasted about a week and then she just could not stay awake until 1pm. She was super cranky and showing all the sleepy signs. So we went back to 2 naps. She naps at around 930-10 and then again around 230-3. I don't know what happened a couple of weeks ago but it seems to have just been a phase. DD is 3 months younger than your DC though.

Yes that is late, but DH works nights, and DD's schedule is basically 2ish hours later (i think) from a "normal" schedule. We put her down to sleep around 9:30 hoping she'll sleep til 9:30 (she usually does), this way when DH gets home from work at 5:30am, he gets some sleep before his day begins with her. She hasn't had to go to daycare, and we're hoping to ride this out for as long as we can. I'm a teacher and summers/holiday vacations help DH get a "full night's sleep" but he catches up on his missed sleep when she naps.
btw, I'm pretty sure I had a lot of run-on sentences, and my 3rd grade teacher would not be happy with me

Re: 2 naps down to 1....what age?
at 13 months, i think she is dropping 1 nap, but the 2 nap schedule is sooo much better. on certain days, i have been waking her up at 7am in the morning so she can take 2 naps a day. in the summers, its too hard for her to be sleeping 1 nap.

Re: 2 naps down to 1....what age?
My DD use to nap 10am to 12 and then from 3pm to 5pm. She was in bed at 8pm and slept until 7:30am every night. At about 15-16 months (if I remember correctly) she started weaning herself down to one nap. It took her about 2 weeks to make the switch.........she would go down a little later for her first nap, or not sleep as long. I just followed her lead. Once she adjusted she napped from about 12:30 to 3:30 every day and slept from 8pm to 8am every night. She will be 3 next month and still has the EXACT same nap and nighttime schedule.

Re: 2 naps down to 1....what age?
at 15 months my son was on 2 naps but the first one was around 10:30/11 and the 2nd one was around 2/3.
It definitely sounds like she might be ready for 2 naps. Taking a nap at 5:30 is kind of late.
We went to one nap late... maybe 20 months and even then, we kind of forced it at that point.

Re: 2 naps down to 1....what age?
DS will be 15 months on the 25th. At home he still takes 2 naps. One is 1030-1230 and then again at 4-5. At daycare however they started to drop his afternoon nap because he is the only one that still takes 2 in his room. Needless to say by 6pm he is a beast so has been going to be earlier. He still needs two naps.
