Had a strange moment yesterday

We were in Payless getting back to school shoes with the kids. Everyone needed sneakers.

Well, DS (age 10, going into 6th grade) fell in love with a pair of black work boots. HAD to have them. DH was like "Fine, get them. We will get sneakers for him when he finds something he wants."

I don't know, I was just so on the fence about it. For some reason, I felt like he's too "little" to be stomping around in big black boots, plus I feel like there's a whole "bad-azz" quality associated with those kind of shoes that I'm not a fan of.... I really don't know.

Maybe at the end of the day, i'm just freaked out that my baby is going to the big bad middle school....

you know what is going to happen? You are going to hate them and not let him wear them to school anyway. Plus, if they aren't your style, they aren't going to match the style of any of his outfits either!
