how much milk does your 2 year old drink?
My DD will be 2 in Oct.
How much milk should she be drinking?
On most days, she only drinks 8 oz. Is that enough?

DD just turned 2 and drinks 8 oz a day also. She refuses milk in anything other than a bottle so we still give her one bottle of milk at night.

My ped said 18-24 oz. is what DS should be drinking. He'll be 2 in October.

DD will be 2 in Oct. She drinks 2 (sometimes 3) 7 oz cups of milk.

My DS (also 2 in October) drinks 16 oz of milk per day. My ped thought this was too much since he also eats cheese, yogurt and oatmeal, etc but he's a big boy plus he loves his milk so I'm more than ok with it.
I think that if your DD has things like cheese, yogurt, etc it should be ok. If you think she should drink more, maybe give her oatmeal made with milk vs water (this is how I always make it).

DS will also be 2 in Oct and drinks about 8ozs of milk per day. But he usually gets cheese for a snack and always 1 yogurt per day so thats about an add'l 6-8oz of dairy. I read no more than 10ozs of milk per day and no more than 6oz of juice per day to keep your toddler from getting overweight. My ped is fine with his intake.

same here...sometimes more. funny thing is I use to push her to have 16oz a day around 1-2 years old, now she can't get enough.

Both my kids (18mos and 2 1/2 yo) drink about 32 oz a day. I think it's too much, but I have no idea how to wean them off because they are attached to it.
The only other thing they really drink is water. Not into juice, etc, except for an occasional treat (starbx strawberry smoothie  ).
Anyone know if there are negative effects of drinking a lot of milk? I'll have to google...
ETA: 32oz a day EACH. I need to buy a cow bc I think it will be cheaper!!!

About 16 ounces/day - he has a cup in the morning and a cup with bed...he may have some with lunch and he generally has a yogurt a day.
