this is NOT AT ALL what i want to hear. i cant imagine my sweet boy to ever be a monster. im not ready for this!!

ill check back w/ you girls in a month and let you know how im hanging in there...

Honestly - from what I have seen with family/friends/daycare- it's worse with girls at this age.
The boys might turn into holy terrors too- but i feel like it happens later.
I feel like the girls are just full of DRAMA!!!Chat Icon

yeah ~ im sure my son will just begin to wreck my things one day and not really know why....its kinda what boys do.

i agree though ~ boys & girls are totally different animals!
good luck ladies ~ i hope the phases passes as quickly as possible!

Re: DD is an evil monster!

18 mos here today.

She is the DEVIL!
Saturday...we wait for her to take her nap, feed her and head out to Walmart.

Things are bad when WALMART people are giving you dirty looks.
She SCREAMED..there is no whine to this child, just SCREAMING...for 40 mins straight.
Throwing things out of my cart...completely escaping seatbelt, pulling josh's hair.
I have to hold her, still screaming, couponing...pushing a cart.
She throws shoes, hairbow..the best is, cart must be parked in center of isle...or she rips things off shelves.
So dirty looks...I am blocking cart traffic and people can't even think.

This morning I throw them in jogging stroller. She doesn't drop things out of stroller, she hurls them. I am in grass searching for cup, shoes, book, keys....

She makes everything harder.

Re: DD is an evil monster!

DS is 16 months and he is CRAZY, but not in a devil way. He is into EVERYTHING, but if he doesnt get his way he doesnt freak out, he just moves on to the next thing! He watches people like a hawk and figures out how to do ALOT of stuff.

You really need to meet my son. I have never met a more drama queen in my life. DH and I always say what would have happened if DS was a girl. He yells at us, shakes his finger no at us. Saids no with such attitude and authority and yes it started at 1 too. He is 2 1/2 now and i don't see an end.

I MUST tell this to my DH.
I MUST!

LOL

DD turned 2 in May. She was a preemie (born 33 weeks).
She was GREAT in May, but, when she hit June 21st (her original due date), she KNEW she was truly, officially 2!

Not walking yet, no words either, but, she has the eye roll mastered! The whining, the throwing things, the "Im just gonna sit here and scream/whine til you answer me" mode down too!

Ooh so much fun!Chat Icon

DD is only 4.5 months and I can already see into her future at 1 year. She is going to be a monster!

I swear the other night she said "ha ha" mixed in with her nightly whining session after she saw me do the sign of the cross and ask for help!

Hold on because being a mommy to a little girl is going to be a bumpy ride!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
In all seriousness, though, I know from both of my kids that their personalities change DRASTICALLY while they are getting their molars. I remember crying and telling my sister that I thought my daughter was such a good, sweet little girl, but she was turning out to be a monster and then she went back to normal soon after. I promise!

Re: DD is an evil monster!

I'm so happy to hear I'm not alone in this "Terrible 1" thing. DD is 15 months and definately a brat. She used to be so happy and easy to take care of, now it's a battle for EVERYTHING: diaper changes, baths, changing clothes, feeding-getting her in that high chair.

My mom swears the idea of terrible 2's start in their 2nd year of life, not 2 full years old

We saw her and Anthony yesterday and she was being so good! They had a blast playing in the empty pool! The dumbest things entertain them.
