Mine isnt uncommon or unique, its a pretty well known song... but i dont know anyone else personally that used it... there were 2 other people on the other thread that list it as theirs... and when i was planning my wedding on LIW i dont remember anyone else using that song....
it wasnt a song we just randomly picked, it actually was one of "our" songs...

I think ours is pretty unique. I don't know anyone who used it and most people don't even know the song unless your into country!

I think ours was pretty unique. It was: That's How Strong My Love Is by Otis Redding. Apparently, it was pretty sexy too because we had some people (incl. my mom  ) who yelled out "get a room" as we were dancing to it.

DH suggested that for us, but I wasn't too familiar with it & before I got a chance to listen to it, we found soemthing else. We were in the car on the way home from a really bad band showcase, and were listening to an Allison Krauss album he had just bought & as soon as we heard " When you Say Nothing at All", we were were done.
I had never heard it before, so I thought it was pretty unique, and our band had to learn it, but I know a few people on LIW/LIF have used it, or the other version that was in some movie I have never seen.
If we had a DJ, and not a band we would have used either Be Mine or At My Most Beautiful both by R.E.M, but we didn't think we didn't want to use a wedding band cover version.

At Last by Etta James. When we got married it was unique & wasn't one you'd normally hear. I had to get a copy for the DJ. I feel like everyone has it now.

When I got married, our song was "Back at One" by Brian McKnight. It came out the year we started dating and was always "our song" so it was a no brainer when choosing our wedding song.

We danced to this at our wedding too, but we weren't "on display" as husband and wife, as we were for our first song. This song was just for us.

I really don't think most people have ever even heard our song. It's "I Could Write a Book" written by Rodgers and Hart (and originally from the Broadway show Pal Joey). We danced to the Frank Sinatra version; some may know it from the Harry Connick version (was it instrumental only?) in When Harry Met Sally. We were close friends before we started dating...

I've never heard of anyone using our song, so I think it is pretty unique... Hold You In My Arms by Ray LaMontagne. Our videographer used it in our wedding video too. I love it!

DH wanted Andy Williams "Speak Softly Love" which is the theme from the godfather but has incredibly beautiful lyrics.
We ended up with Brian Adams "Have you ever Loved A Women" we were pretty peeved.

Fields of Gold, the Sting song, sung by Eva Cassidy.
I think that's pretty unique... I've never heard of anyone using the song when it was sung by Sting, let alone Eva 
off topic, but I also LLOOVVEEE her version of Song Bird. if I ever get married again (to someone I love and not just for the money) I will use that version.
I also love Into the Mystic, Thank You, and A Kiss to Build A Dream On.
ours was By Your Side, which is a beautiful song...but we sort of came to our decision. most songs that I would consider to be "ours" arent really love/first dance songs.
I had them play "Ice Cream" by Sarah M. for dh during our dessert hour, when they brought in the BK Ice Cream Bar (we met while working at Haagen Dazs)

I am actually happy with the way it turned out that we didn't use some of my favorite dh songs b/c they can't be tainted by anything that has or could happen to us in the future.
