I'm in the Mohawk Valley right now staying at my parents' house and it's horrible up here. The floods in Cobleskill actually forced eight children to stay at their school overnight. The bridges near the school were flooded out and couldn't be passed until DOT inspected them, so their parents couldn't come pick them up. SO sad. 
Our entire county is in a state of emergency, and they're actually ticketing people who are out and about unnecessarily.

My ILs live right outside Binghamton, they had to evacuate their house. The have lived there their entire lives and said they have never seen flooding like this. They've been in their house for 40 years and have never had to evacuate before.

There are several of us in the DC area. MD and VA are getting hit hard too. My commute tonight in suburban MD was no joke but there are multiple communities in MD being evacuated and they closed some major roads in VA during rush hour.

I just re-read what I wrote and realized it sounded like a correction - I totally didn't mean to make it sound like you had left us out  I was just making others aware in case they have relatives or friends in this area and want to make sure they're ok. I know that one big place that was evac'd was Havre de Grace, MD. If you ever drive on the 95 corridor between here and NY it's at the very top of the state before you cross into Delaware.

Fleischmanns and Margaretville was evacuated this week. The damage to their bridges and the flooding was devastating. My mom took pics but I dont have them.

This is no joke, my friend lives in PA and her DH is a police officer in their town, she has said the flooding by her is bad (but she's not in a flood area I guess?). Some of the pics she has reposted from others are so sad. Bridges, streets washed out. I guess one bridge was destroyed when two houses slammed into it :( Her town is no way in, no way out. She had a friend who needed to be rescued by boat yesterday.

Is I-95 ok?? I'm driving down to MD tomorrow (Rockville area).

in NJ I have been under flood warnings and flash flood warnings since last week, I think I am still under 5 of them. My train station went under water again yesterday, and a ton of roads are closed in the trenton, princeton, lawrenceville NJ areas due to rivers reaching flood stage
